I suppose £150 in the Plum 5% account via TCB with the £15 cashback would give an effective rate of 15% after 1 year
I note the terms that it must be held for the year. Still worth doing I guess

I opened Plum (savings account) via TCB a few months back, and they paid out twice 😄
I can still open their 5% ISA even though I'm not really a 'new' customer. What puts me off most about the Plum ISA, however, is potentially forfeiting a month's interest if I transfer out, and I'll definitely want to transfer out after 12 months because their rate falls off a cliff.

Just catching up - I have two FR ISA with VM and KR, opened in the first quarter of the year……now seeing the rates jump big style, am thinking whether to call both of them and say can I move to their newer product and "start again"……has anybody done this and do they charge the 60 day penalty, although based on Gemini maths I will be better off moving…….

Check Isa calculator to work out if you will be better off. I've never switched during the term of a fixed ISA, but am sure the penalty will be enforced.0 -
I have switched before with VM during the term and was charged the penalty. I didi it after opening the new ISA by message. They checked that I was aware of the penalty before actioning the request.
I cannot see why they won't charge other than very goodwill, it's the terms of taking them out and any exceptions would be written in.
Yeah, cheers but nah, I will stick with yes, thank you and no.
Thank you.0 -
Re Shawbrook fix, transfer in within 14 days.
Just to say with absolute certainty, now. I messaged them with details. The other provider wasn't part of the electronic scheme, so they put a form to complete in my documents section. They accepted that completed form by email.
