why can you not get the FD offer as well as the HSBC one?

I was just curious to know if anyone knows if First Direct piggy back on the same processes and systems to manage ISA transfers as HSBC.
Because these are not sort of turnaround timescales HSBC appears to work to - I would allow 3 weeks for a transfer in and (potentially) 3 weeks for a transfer out. Because that seems to be their current timescales for a lot of people - assuming they don't lose your funds for 3 weeks.
No wonder their terms allow you 70 days for transferred funds to reach their fixed rate ISAs - you literally might need that long!

accordibg to t and c's
"You can only subscribe to one type of cash ISA and one type of stocks and shares ISA in the same tax year across HSBC and first direct"
I dont know how strict they are about this, but out of this years allowance I opened the HSBC isa with £500 and then completed the transfer forms.
If you or anyone knows if I can also get the FD offer as well, I would certainly like to? I would need to transfer an existing ISA less than £10000 and top it up out of this years allowance to do this.

Subscribe means paying new funds in using your 2026-27 allowance?.
You can have several ISAs with both surely if you are just transferring previous years ISA funds in? So you could - using prior year transfers or in year funding for only one - apply for both?

First Direct ISA incentive. The T & C's also read like the transfer must complete by 4th May. Is this the case? or is it transfer form received by 4th May? Its a tad tight now if its the former

subscribe means putting new money in, from your current tax year ISA allowance. It does not include transfers-in from previous year's allowance(s).
If you need 2026-27 money to meet the requirements for both, the HSBC and the FD offer, unfortunately you can only do one.0 -
Transfer request must be received by FD by May

Don't you mean 4th May - although it is a bit vague as it references ISA transfers or transactions within this period. So is the ISA transfer transaction or the transfer request that must be received by FD by 11.59pm on May 4th.
What is the Offer Period?
- This offer runs from 00:01 am on 6 April 2026 to 11:59 pm on 4 May 2026.
- ISA transfers and/or transactions outside of the Offer Period will not qualify.
And do they manage their own transfers - or do HSBC manage the process for them. If it is the latter that might give some of us awaiting an HSBC transfer to happen (3 weeks now in my case) second thoughts!
