Cash ISAs: The Best Currently Available List

If you read through all the blurb, you can have multiple ISA's with Barclays, so nothing stopping you transferring later in the year to a new ISA, although rate may well have changed by then.

With changing ISA providers each year, how do you keep track of where the money has been/come from over the years if you apply for a mortgage for example? Surely these ISA accounts get closed when you're done with them?

I've just navigated this situation, and it was very helpful to retain statements and copies of transfer declarations so that I could show the paper trail of funds moving between providers. AML / source of funds is only becoming stricter, so good record keeping is very important if you intend to use the funds for a large purchase like a house.
ISAs are a highly regulated product, so are considered pretty low risk if you can demonstrate the money has been within the wrapper for a long period of time.

Ah ok, so basically download any statements/documents from an ISA account prior to closing it? Same with old current/savings accounts?

Yes, I think it is a good idea to download and retain all statements. You never know when you might need them. I've spent a couple of months recently back-filling from a variety of different accounts and going forward I'll be regularly updating my library of statements.

do you prefer using building societies? These transfers seem pretty painful compared to many digital ones

Monument.
I remember this. Transfer in required phone calls and a complaint to get the money in. A couple of weeks later they dropped to 4.25% which was very uncompetitive at the time so I had to transfer out.

I'm really struggling to decide what to do with this tax years funds. I have maxed out Moneybox from 2025 - 2026. It's currently at 4.2%.
T212 was a perfect ISA for me, but customer rate now dropped. My requirements are:
- Withdrawals allowed, even if it's just 3 for peace of mind
- A rate above 4.2%
- Online only
- All interest paid monthly, not having to wait a year for the bonus rate
It does seem impossible to find anything so I am thinking about funding Moneybox with another years allowance. Not overly keen as wanting to keep the years separate though.
Any thoughts please? Thanks.

I might download all statements and then keep them digitally, makes sense really.

For a multi-year fix, you can also topup each subsequent tax year IIRC.
