I sent my transfer form back to HSBC by post, because my letter said either return by post or take to a branch. It arrived fine and HSBC requested the transfer 2 days ago. T212 requested my permission yesterday afternoon and 20 minutes later the £20K left T212. Not showing at HSBC yet.

    Question for ISA experts -

I recently opened a 4.3% fixed rate 2 year ISA with Aldemore on 26/3/26, yesterday I noticed the rate had gone up to 4.4%. Went online opened new account today (2/4/26) and transferred funds across from one to the other penalty free, as I am within the 14 day cooling off period of the original account opening.

Now, I have since seen the HSBC ISA with bonus 13 month fixed ISA at 4.5% (I am long standing HSBC customer).

Am I right in thinking my 14 day cooling off period starts again from opening the 2nd Aldemore account today? Or, would it still be from original opening date (26/3). The 2 x accounts have different account no's.

    Thanks for any help.

I just withdrew this year's ISA allowance from my flexible T212 ISA (3.6%) and put it into Prosper's flexible cash ISA (4.7%). Was incredibly quick and easy to set up. Looking forward to adding next year's ISA allowance into it too on 5 April :)

The Aldermore Terms and Conditions state:

Other than for Easy Access Accounts, Double Access Accounts and Regular Saver Accounts (which you
can close at any time either online or by contacting us) you have a cooling-off period of 14 calendar
days starting on the date you open an Aldermore account.

During this time you can close your account without any charges. After this cooling-off period ends,
you’ll only be able to close your account as permitted in these terms and conditions.

    https://www.aldermore.co.uk/media/dandclvi/personal-savings-terms-and-conditions.pdf

The cooling off period is linked to the account, not your relationship with Aldermore.

So you didnt do a transfer? You just withdrew your 20k back to your bank from T212 and then put it in Prosper ISA?

is that even allowed? I have a T212 account too thats 3.6%

So, in theory I could change my current 2 year fix ISA with Aldemore (have 14 day cooling off window) to an easy access ISA with Aldemore, then start the application process for the HSBC transfer. This would then ensure I get the transfer without any penalties from Aldemore. If I don't change the Fixed ISA to an easy access the transfer would have to complete within the 14 days and risk getting a penalty, I cant really risk the 'ISa transfer' taking any longer. Have I got that right?

    Saffron BS

To those that emailed the transfer form to Saffron, did you fill out on screen and emailed it straight away or did you print, signed with a pen and scanned it back in and sent it by email?

I am wondering if in the signature field it is enough to just write my name? Not able to access a printer or a post office at the moment. Aldermore is having the PDF set up that you can use DocuSign for signature and email it back to them, which is very handy.

Moving to an easy access ISA would seem the sensible option.
