Have you looked at the list of Best ISAs on page 1 of this thread?
Be a good place to start.

Used to have a RS with them, now have a fixed rate bond. Been with them for nearly 30 years. Very rarely do they get to the top of the tables. No problems with them or their service, limited online servicing but for a fixed term account you don't need much.

There has been some discussion recently on the HSBC Cash ISA.
Please note that if HSBC do not hold your signature on file, they will send you a letter with a form to complete. You will need to sign this document and take the signed copy to a HSBC branch with proof of identity.
My wife received a letter yesterday and when I phoned to check, was told if she did not complete this action by 6th April, the ISA transfer she did would be returned to the original ISA provider.

Yorkshire Building Society
This account seems to replace the 4 access ISA. It too had a rate of 4.05% for one year. This one has unlimited withdrawls but the previous one (which was there till yesterday) only allowed 4 withdrawls, as the name suggested.

The rate might not be so appealing in six months time if events in the Middle East have triggered a tripling of the oil price and BoE base rate is 10% . You'll be charged £46 per £1000 to get out of it.

Could be tricky in bits of the country where HSBC branches (not hubs) are rather thin on the ground.

I was about to open one of these, but they don't have a branch local to me if they requested this of me. Was your wife relatively new to HSBC, or was it an update to her existing signature rather than them never having it on file?

With the BOE base rate at 10% I think we all gonna have more serious problems to think about 😅 . I don't base my life on a possible 'end of the world ' event. Should WW3 start, trust me, that Isa will be the last of our problems

We both have a HSBC current account which we don't use. They have a small balance in each. These were opened in Sept 2024, so we could open a monthly regular saver. Sorry, but I cannot remember either of us sending a signature form previously.
My wife made a transfer from Ford Money to the new HSBC Cash lSA which was completed on the 16th March. The letter she received yesterday was dated 24th March. When I called them, they said she had until the 6th April to take the form to a local branch, after that they would return the transfer to the original ISA provider.
We were fortunate that we have a local branch, so we were able to arrange this quickly.
