I also "upgraded" to issue 7 via secure message, but I didn't open the account myself first, just requested that they turn my issue 5 into an issue 7. All completed successfully within a few hours of my request.

As discussed in this thread:
It seems the YBS Four access eISA rate is only for 1 year then the ISA changes to an online easy access ISA.

Thanks to 1spiral for posting the new Principality Online 5 cash Isa issue 7 @4.20% and Kazza for posting it on page1 of the best currently available list. When they reduced their rate to 4% in February I was contemplating a transfer. I must admit to not frequently checking the page 1 list whereas I do regularly check the daily posts. Well done Principality for upgrading my issue 5 @4.00% via secure message so promptly. Although account number remains the same they did add an interest payment which was nice.

Charter 2 & 3 year cash ISAs increased to 4.36% although when applying & clicking on the terms for the 3 year option, it still says 2 year cash ISA @4.21%!
So I'll try again later today when hopefully they've linked the correct terms for the 3 year option.

Must be fixed now, opens up the correct 3 year Terms.

I'm an existing customer & it's still showing incorrectly for me when I log in to apply.
Hopefully they'll rectify it this morning.

Just before Christmas the 2-Yr @ 4.2% seemed a good deal 😒

Yes, I've sent a secure message to Prinky asking them to convert my Issue 5 to Issue 7. That's what I've always done in the past.
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0 -
Reported for offensive diminutisation.

Added bonus of doing it this way is that you get to keep the same account number, and get interest credited for the original ISA term.
Incidentally, I didn't start my message with "Hi Prinky", not sure how they would have responded 😁
