You won't earn the promotional rate on transfers, so it is treated as a different product on Moneyfacts.

I've just upgraded issue 2 to this new issue via secure message. It only took them 10 minutes to respond - I'm very impressed.

I transferred out of a FR Furness ISA a few years ago - was very quick, and all online. Not sure about transferring in.

Saffron BS Cash ISA
Just opened. Transfer in request (says the website) can be done by
- completing paper form & post/branch
- by telephone
Anyone happen to know if the phone option is a complete transfer instruction operation or will it just be them completing a paper form for you that will be sent out for you to sign?

I tried a phone transfer into an existing account but was told it was a mistake on the website. Transfers are only by post. They will send you a form and prepaid envelope or you can download one and put a stamp on the envelope. It took 2 days to arrive and I returned it yesterday.

Thanks for that - thought that phone option sounded a bit light on authorisations etc. Will print'n'post.

You have to open the account with a bank transfer, what do you do if you've already maxed out for the year and want to transfer in ?
Don't do what I've just done, get to the funding part and don't complete it within 10 minutes because it closes the page and because you don't have a user ID at this point you can't log back in and complete the form.
I've been on the phone for 10 minutes waiting to speak to someone, don't think I'll bother now

Which account with whom?

Which account are you referring to ?
If it's the Saffron one, I opened it this morning without an initial deposit - although there is a box on the application asking what the initial deposit will be.
Printed the transfer form, which is now in the post.
According to the blurb you have 15 days to submit a transfer, and 30 days (from opening) to fund it.

Yes,sorry,Saffron.
All sorted now,I thought they were asking for an initial deposit, they weren't.
I couldn't get through on the phone but a helpful chap on the web chat put me right and is sending me the transfer form….my printer packed up today to add to my woes lol
