Sorry to be bossy but I think you would be much happier on the Slimming World Green days plan as you do NOT have to be hungry , count calories or be constantly denying yourself.

The idea is to EAT - but make sure you eat "free foods" and make sure you eat plenty of them.

How does pasta with cheese sauce, sin free chips and sin free crisps sound - and that is just for starters.

    Hi Elona

You are not being bossy, what you are saying makes a lot of sense, I used to be on SW but I just cannot believe how much you can eat and not put on weight - the other issue of course is that it encourages me to eat lots of carbs (no I am not a low-carb fan but I also feel very bloated when eating tons of pasta & couscous - it is a bit limiting for a veggie, I think).

Having said that, I need to really look into it again though as I think it makes the best sense - not surprisingly, even Weight Watchers are now copying it and have introduced a new unlimited foods diet similar to SW, where you can eat unlimited pasta, low fat yoghurt, lean meats etc as well as fruit and veg.

Anyway, my 3 day internet freebie expires tomorrow and if they think I am going to pay 9 quid a month just to be able to calculate calories online they got another thing coming hehehehe, so SW (for free thanks to your password) might just be the solution.

So far I have been on just under 1750 calories and this seems to fill me up plenty and give me just the right balance of stuff, according to the graphs. After 3 days I feel my trousers looser at the waist but of course I cannot see any difference yet!

I even had a square of Lindt 85% black chocolate - LOVELY!!! - and now I am off to bed. Good night and happy dieting.

Remember that eggs are "free" as is Quorn - not to mention all fruit and veg.

There is a recipe for pizza that uses mashed potato as a base.

Mashed sweet potato and carrot are lovely- the food does not have to be heavy.

I am glad caterina asked this question as it has been in the back of my mind for a while and I kept forgetting to ask.

to finally say goodbye to the last pound - or 2 or 3 on a bad day - which keeps me officially Obese. Because on Tuesday I am off to hospital for a pre-op assessment and they will surely weigh me and take my BP etc. Do you think they'll let me take all my clothes off first - I'm not proud? :rotfl:

Anyway, today I have made Leek and Potato soup which will do me for lunch tomorrow as well, and keep the munchies at bay. Plus I am going to be doing the headless chicken routine from now till admission date, so that should help ... If I leave the big shopping trip until just before I go in there'll be no food in the house to tempt me either! :rotfl:
