Out with a couple of young friends, one suggested that we sit on the grass. 'Oh I don't know' I said, 'takes me ages to get up these days'.

'That's ok', said one of them (she's a care assistant in an old people's home), 'I'm used to helping old people....' fade out of conversation... :rotfl:

We went away the other week and I was dragged into a local pub where they had a quiz night. I'm roped into the team and some discussion is going on as to team names when one person says The Pheasant Pluckers". OH shouts across over the music to enquire as to what team name we are going with. Right on cue the music stops just as I shout "The Pleasant Phuckers" across the room.

Reminds me of the Wurzels song :rotfl:

Calling my ex boyfriend a !!!!!!! when I think we were play fighting in the early days of our relationship. It turns out his parent's had not got married until after he was born as his father was married at the start of the war and living with his mother by the end of the war.

His mother wasn't bothered about this, but it turned out he was, and was very upset until I found - in a book in those days - that his parent's subsequent marriage had legitimised him.

The relationship wasn't that great in many ways after, but I didn't make the mistake of calling him that again! (And it's very nice to remember how happy we once were.)

Ex's mother talking about people writing in to Points of View about programmes they didn't like. I said "really, people need to get a life, haven't they got anything better to do"? Turns out she wrote in every week. Awkward:D

similar to our quiz night when the question was about American football teams, and my husband whispered to my friend, whose question it was and she had to shout the answer out "the San Francisco 69 ers"....... and when everyone laughed he said loudly 'I said it the San Francisco 49ers".....

she still blushes when we remind her...:o

I was due to visit a woman and her newborn baby yesterday. I had the wrong house number written down and when I knocked on the door, an incredibly handsome young man answered. I told him who I was and why I was there and he said...."Sorry, I don't have any babies"
To which I replied (whilst giggling like a schoolgirl)...."Would you like one?"

    Aaarrrgghhh....shoot me now!!
