Each get out of your cars and have some fisticuffs because he pushed in? Bit childish isn't it?
Crikey, pick your fights. Yes, it is incredibly annoying when drivers push in. But come on....
What I would have expected him to do is get out his car shouting 'what is your problem' I would have enjoyed telling him exactly what my problem was and also to ask him if he felt like the big man for pulling over.
I wouldn't have raised my hands to him. If he had smacked me one then fair play, I would have probably dusted myself off and laughed at him.
To be honest, I didn't expect him to do anything, he was full of !!!! and proved it quite well when he flew off into the distance up the bus lane which he shouldn't have been driving in. Lets hope he gets the ticket through the door from the bus lane cameras installed.
I understand a number of people think I may have just provoked and aggravated the situation by mouthing off at him, but I do what I believe in, and by him screaming up the inside in a queue of traffic and barging in front of me because he couldn't be arsed waiting in the queue, in my mind, justified my reaction.0 -

If you honestly think that accelerating a car towards another car in order to prove a point is something to be proud of, maybe you shouldn't be on the road at all.
I get the impression that you are a young driver in a souped up car (fitted with a not very good turbo, as the only reason you couldn't block the other driver was due to turbo lag), who is full of testosterone but not much in the way of common sense.0 -

Get off your high horse. I have every right to be on the road.
And your impression of me couldn't be any more incorrect. Mid to late 30's with a diesel 5 door Fiesta TD (with horrendous turbo lag). Hardly the car of choice for a boy racer now is it.0 -

To be honest, you sound a complete tool.0 -

Why thank you very much. I'll be sure not to get too excited by your compliment xx0 -
In fairness to the posters who think I did the wrong thing (and the posters who think I am a tool) you are entitled to your opinion.
Yeah, maybe I did over react, maybe I was wrong to mouth off at the driver who shoved his way in front of me, maybe I was wrong to pull over into the bus stop because he decided he wanted to 'scare' me by trying to get me pulled over.
However, what if I hadn't pulled in behind him and just kept going? Chances are he would have then proceeded to try to intimidate me even more. No doubt racing up beside me with the mouth going etc. So I did stop, he obviously didn't expect it and flew off again, looking like a complete !!!!!!!.0 -

He only started 'trying to intimidate you' when you started becoming a gob!!!!!I'd put this in the 'takes 2 to tango' camp and move on...

I can understand why the Op would get annoyed by this, as it is a fact of life that people do get far more wound up when behind the wheel than would ordinarily be the case (it’s an established syndrome known as road rage). However, I do think he at very least acted unwisely by mouthing at him, and also for getting out of the car for a confrontation, although he was lucky on this occasion that the other driver bottled it (who I’m glad was made to look a total !!!!!!).0

Whoa there Stavros. I never once claimed I got out the car. I just removed my seatbelt when I pulled over.0
