So 6.25% increase for me with just Entertainment plus Sports Pack...what a bunch of */7^5rds!
Can't get any B/Band or phone offers on my exchange and no Virgin ....................... Really must ring to cancel............0 -
I've just signed up to Sky unlimited broadband and talk Freetime for a 12 month period at £12.25 for 6 months and £22.25 from Month 7 (plus any call charges not included in the free time deal) - now they are saying that the cost will be an extra £2.50 from Month 7 due to a 'price rise'.
Can they do this? Surely I have a contract with them for an agreed price for a 12 month duration so as that was the contracted price agreed then they should stick to that - or am I being completely naive?
Otherwise the contract is meaningless as they could increase the price tenfold any time they like even though they have advertised a service for a set amount per month for a set period of time.
I'm sure if the boot was on the other foot and I said that I will leave them before the 12 months is up they'd be clamouring for a cancellation charge as I had fulfilled my side of the contract.0 -
Of course they can do it.0

This was always expected. Sky will claw their money back from the past year.0

Had my letter this morning. Entertainment pack increase £1.50 Sky sports pack 1&2 £1.00.
I may cancel the movies as i do not watch very often. Anyone know how much this will reduce my bill?0 -
Depends how much it costs you now? Look at your bill online.0

Yes it's been on the cards for some time 'the increase in subscription charges, Last November told 'them' I was leaving, and they promptly offered me 12 months free line rental, which I accepted, now after checking out the advantages of Freesat I intend -offers or no offers, to cut my costs.. What I am not sure about , is the fact ,because ,I have broadband, Sky basic + entertainment , and phone package, just how long it will take to change the lot, to another provider,, Been with Sky for the past 4/5 years so I do not expect any problem in cancelling, although have to wonder what will be their reaction when I request a move to Sky FreeSat ,???0
