Once the icon shows, you just browse away, no need to log in after that the app has done it for you.
try loading a bookmarked screen
That is what I assumed - but if, for example - I put www.google.co.uk in as the address - it just sits there at www.btopenzone.co.uk !!0 -

Ok, once the icon is showing, then see if one of the other apps work like a banking app, weather , shares news etc (I forgot which handset you are running?)0 -
Nope - not email either
I am running a Galaxy Note
This implies to me that I am connected - but my login is incorrect ?0 -
Is there an app for Windows phone, i.e. Nokia lumia 710?0

I have done some ferretting around and discovered that BT do not allow tmobile customers access to BT FON hot spots (I emailed BT and have a response) - this goes against what I was told (and tmobiles website) - so something is starting to smell in the tmobile area
I am gathering all the info and intend to send it all to C.A.B / OFCOM0 -

What about Openzone, can you get on that? These are usually in high traffic public areas eg shopping centres, motorway service stations etc.0 -

When I run a scan on my phone (and laptop also) - I pick up 2 BT signals - BT FON which I understand is not accessible
BT Openzone-H which I think may be - but on connecting to either - I get the problem of being able to see BT homepages but no further browsing ....
I live in a purely residential area - no shops/cafes for 1/2 mile etc.....
I assume that these "HOT SPOTS" are set up on telegraph poles or similar by BT through the goodness of their hearts ?0 -

Afraid not, we are in a commercial world I'm afraid, you will have to wait until your next shopping spree to try it out, just looking at my wifi history on the phone, there is openzone B and H, I assume H = home and B=business (but just a guess, I can get onto both but then I am logging in vai a BT internet account

So all these claims by Tmobile to offer free WiFi to not only shoppers but home use as well are a load of bunkum ?0
