Always like that I am afraid, if you are banking with them you don't really count. OH has only account with Nationwide, he is stuffed too. Oh well.
    Reclaimed thanks to this site:

Internal transfer! - I don't like the sound of that. Sounds like a DD from my newly setup Flex Account. I don't want to mess around with my mortgage payements, not even for £100. Is this part optional?

I have a nationwide mortgage and current account and have never had a problem with the internal transfer.

Can anyone advise, I already have a Flex account for the free worldwide ATM withdrawals, but have no direct debits from it and my salary is not paid into it. I also have a couple of e-savers attached to it.
I was already planning to switch all my banking to my Flex account from my A&L PD account when the year of sweet stuff is over (in April), so will I count for the £100 when I do this? If so it is perfect for me, but I feel its too good to be true.
    The main bullet point says

A £100 payment given to existing Nationwide customers of six months or more who switch their current account to Nationwide

Well I will be switching, but then later on it talks about applications not being eligible for the promotion if they are received before or after the dates... well i won't be making an application since I already have the account open.

Thanks for any help / clarification anyone can offer. I'll still be moving to NW anyway whatever the answer. (and not back to A&L after 3 months, don't want to go through the upheaval again!)

Have you called the number on the first page to ask?

Sorry I realise I am a dumba$$ and only scanned the first page of this thread, the answer is in there, YorkshireBoy rang the Marketing dept and was given the impression that "dormant" flexaccounts like mine WILL qualify.
Sorry I shall look harder next time, I reallly hate it when people ask duplicate questions like that

It's more than an "impression" now. They have written to me confirming what I proposed (in my earlier post) will definitely meet the conditions for the £100 switching incentive.

    This is so easy. :D

So easy infact, that if Martin puts this deal in the weekly e-mail, I expect Nationwide to terminate this particular 'offer' very quickly.

Maybe that is the whole idea?
To reward you as an existing customer and to try to awake the dormant accounts?
Called their CS this morning and tried to clarify why the funding of over 1000 is mentioned in the T&C of the offer, but they were not able to tell me.
The CS rep confirmed I can use my existing Flex and fill in the transfer form, although he was reading and interpreting the T&C as we were on the phone.

Hm yes there must be a lot of customers who only use the FlexAccount when abroad. I guess they are trying to get a bit more business from them

I'm not sure if I'll be able to take advantage completely - I only want to move SOME of the DDs on my A&L account (the ones that are only to do with me), all DDs to do with bills etc in our flat I want to keep in the A&L account and turn it into a Joint account with my bf. I will ring them and see if I can still do this and get the £100.
