You can find the snowball calculator at
http://www.whatsthecost.com/snowball.aspx
Also, I think you will not be able to qualify for free eye tests/glasses. The reason being as you live with a partner who works full time (presumably) you will only be eligible for contribution based JSA for 26 weeks (if you have paid enough national insurance over the past 2 years). You need JSA income based to qualify for the free tests....
Please someone correct me if i'm wrong....In debt no more!0 -

We've always fed a complete dry food but we should switch to something cheaper and I agree about the natural food aspect. Do you cook each day for your dogs? Will check out that link and see what I can come up with.

I don't cook for them at all; they are fed raw meat. I get mixed minces (meat, bone and offal) of chicken, turkey, lamb, duck, venison, fish, tripe, beef...costing between 50p and 80p ish per 1lb pack. All I have to do is plop the mince into their bowls and they get 3 quarters of a pack each per day. They also get raw chicken wings/thighs, duck and chicken necks, liver, heart and lamb bones. It's actually very easy once you know what you're doing!
Have a look at Harringtons food as a dry complete on a budget. It's cheaper than a lot of the others but no artificial nasties. Pets at Home Wainwrights also do a dry complete. You could do a combo of dry complete and Wainwrights wet complete trays which works out pretty cheap and tasty for the dog0 -
thanks for the info were all in the same boat excuse the phun !! i am buying food with my credit card have no savings a load and an overdraft will need to look at things as c/card bill giving me nightmares !!
be positive you will get thru this let me know how you get on

Oh I seeeee, haha I thought you meant you had to cook meat for them both each day! Your version sounds much easier:) Will have a look at Harringtons. Someone else recommended Country Choice (I think it's called) as a dry food but not sure if that has all the added nasty bits in.
Still no job news which is a bit frustrating but got my CV out to a few more places today so that's good.
Not much progress on the list so far due to job hunting (hmm and browsing on here :rotfl:list keeps growing as I pick up more tips!) but did give the house a good scrub when I got back so should be able to crack on with the rest tomorrow.- [STRIKE] Work out how I am going to eek out the groceries past the weekend. Reading some of the great ideas on here it MUST be possible [/STRIKE] Found some chicken and fish in the freezer so reckon we can make it into next week just buying milk and a bit of fruit.
- Do energy comparison to see if it is worth contacting Landlord and asking to switch
- Ask to pay council tax over 12m
- [STRIKE] Start spending diary - small setback here in that I had to collect my dry cleaning this morning as needed suit for interview and it was £66 . Shouldn't need to spend any other money today though. DH and I were going out to dinner tonight but I am going to whip up a masterpeice(!) instead  [/STRIKE] No spends today so nothing to record :j
- Look into reducing home and mobile phone bills (I'd forgotten DH mobile in my SOA which is £30 pm)
- Check dog food prices online (thanks Barbeduk) Poor dog already looks miserable at the lack of scraps coming his way :rotfl:
- CUT UP CARDS
- Find a cheap breadmaker
- Find clubcard, nectar card and boots card and put in purse
- Sort bits for car boot/ebay
- Check out the website link Flat Eric posted, looks interesting but only had a really quick look
- Set aside some time each day for chasing work
- [STRIKE] Clean the house [/STRIKE]
- Do snowball calculator - Thanks for the link!!
- Get my bum over to the old style board and look at recipes
- Check dress refunds have been processed and update signature
- Freezer and cupboard inventory
Anyway, the humpty day is over so it's downhill to the weekend and two days off with hubby :T
Thanks everyone for your words of support. Have great evenings!

Just do it. You know you want to.
P.S, I paid of two overdrafts today. That's £1500 better off. There is light at the end of the tunnel, keep going.

Hi, can't remember if you're still on a contract for mobiles, if not look at giffgaff (owned by O2). Really cheap bundles. Tesco seem cheap too. I started an expensive 2 year contract last october, one of the things I feel most stupid about!Make £2020 in 2020 £178.81/£2020
