15 minutes on a job you've been putting off or in your Room of Doom

I'm gonna mix it up this week, I have my own list that needs to get done too so gonna try do a bit of each.

Does anyone have any tips for cleaning the oven? It was cleaned by a professional not long ago as we've only just moved in and it was disgusting! And before, I've always left it that little bit too long and had to use something like Oven Pride (think that's what it's called). So any tips for keeping it under control would be great :)

I already have one carrier bag from my 15 mins in the room of doom, a box for any stationary stuff and have re-homed a few things. I have given the bottom of the oven another scrub and it is not far off being acceptable. Next week or later this week if I have time I will work on the sides of the oven which will just leave the roof of it  I manage to keep on top of it but 2 weeks away with DH in charge seems to have given me a lot of work! I have also scrubbed one of the wire racks and will do the other when I get back from my lunch date with DH.

Morning all, nice and bright here so i've got the guttering all cleared. Moved the trampoline into the other garden so DS3 can play on it. Plan is to put football nets up in the other garden so everyone should be happy and my plants won't get attacked by flying footballs. :D

    Updated list

    Froddy (((big hugs)))
CY good luck vibes to your DD.

Right time for some early lunch or late breakfast and then back to it. Think i'll carry on in the garden for awhile, well until it rains.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
    :j :j
  • I am in this week. Only managed the dailies with the kids off last week.
Can anyone tell me what you use to clean your oven with. No matter how hard I try I can't ever get it as clean as I would like!
Also need to Hoover through upstairs as it didn't get done last week and now really needs doing.

My foot is still very painful. I trod on a small toy yesterdayand dislocated a toe yesterday. It popped back in but is very sore and bruised. Sleeping was difficult and I woke up every time I moved.

My main aim this week is to maintain my sanity whilst DD2 sits her A Levels.

She currently has post-viral fatigue, and so revision has been somewhat curtailed .... we keep finding her asleep at the desk.....

so if anyone has any spare flylady vibes for this afternoon - she will be spending 2.5 hours doing an English Language exam .... and she is terrified!

Sending 'questions I like' vibes. Plenty of people out there have poor A level grades but do just fine in life so try to get her to put a little perspective on it (I have one doing A levels and one doing GCSEs at the moment so I know the stresses)

The carpet has been shampooed now 3 times & I can still smell it, any suggestions ladies???

Have you tried biological washing power? Could you get one of those puppy training mats to put there if it is one place.

I'm in this week! Been really poorly and the house is a tip, but I had a hsterectomy last week and I feel loads better.
So no lifting or hoovering for me, and I'm just going to do 15 mins at a time.

    Only got 15 minutes
    Clean your sink
    empty the bins
    30 minutes to spare
    sweep and mop the floor

    - all my rooms are rooms of doom, especially as DH took last week off because of my op. He decided to decorate the hall and stairs, and swop the kids bedrooms over.
So now I have a half painted hall, no stair carpet, DSs furniture is all taken apart and he has no where to sleep, and there is a winch, a unicycle and a set of karate pads all balanced on the stairs.
So my room of doom today will be a kitchen cupboard.:o
