Thanks Dusty for this weeks thread. Am supposed to be back at work tomorrow but have a 3 day course in Norwich so thats an extra 2 hours travelling each day so will need to try and delegate some things. DS should be able to do something for me as he is still looking for a summertime job, wasnt able to walk into one this year like he did last summer :( Darent leave anything for DH to do as his mobililty is getting worse by the day so roll on op date, although that looks like we may not be able to have our caravan hols in South of France this year as theres no way he'll be able to drive 1000 miles 2 weeks after a hernia op! Thank goodness we had left it late and hadnt actually booked anything yet.

Have done the bins today and a general S/S of the kitchen, made DD's sandwiches for the week, and my lunch for tomorrow. Wont need work uniform ironing until Thursday and then I'm out of the office again on Friday. Have to sort out some paperwork tonight as I dont even know where I am going tomorrow and will need to leave early as apparently the car park gets full very quickly. May have to leave by 630 .

    Hopefully catch you all tomorrow

    Kaz x

    Me again!

Don't post for a couple of weeks then 2 in one night - I'm sure there's a joke about buses in there somewhere;)

In all seriousness flyladies - i've been browsing since my 1st post and there's a poster started a thread called 'Hoarding... not just on tv' - sorry i don't know how to do links but at the moment it's on the first page of old style.

She's asking for practical help in sorting and clearing her mum's home as the council is about to evict her - she says that there is over 20 yrs of filth to shift and stardrops isn't touching it, so I thought that if i made all you lovely people aware of her thread you might be able to offer her some heavy duty practical advice.

    take care

    gtx

    Yup. That'll be me.

I'm looking at 4-5 hours at a time, less if she's flipping out at me.

I am taking sneaky photos from now on. So I can prove I've not made it all up.

I curse the day that the council went to recycling and fortnightly collection.

So far wire wool has been the only thing to get anywhere. But I have to try and move stuff to clean. I haven't even reached the kitchen sink yet.

So I probably won't be following the list for a while yet. About five years by the looks of it at the moment....

    Morning All

Dancemum - hope DS2 enjoys his new school.

I've done a bit of ironing this morning and that's about it. I really didn't want to get up and don't feel like I've had a week's holiday at all - I need another week off!

    Have a good day all

I feel the sameJuliejim. I don't think the miserable weather helps.

    Thinking of you Froddy x

My foot is still very painful. I trod on a small toy yesterdayand dislocated a toe yesterday. It popped back in but is very sore and bruised. Sleeping was difficult and I woke up every time I moved.

DH has emptied the WM and taken the basket to the maiden. I just have to limp upstairs to load her up. I don't think any outside drying will be accomplished today.

    Have a good day everyone.

That's some task you've taken on, jojo. Hope your hard work will be appreciated!

I've had breakfast, sorted out various bits to take to work and got DS2's lunch ready. Going to get him up now, make my lunch, peg washing out (no rain forecast) and get us ready in time. A challenge, but possible (just).

ETA I'm already tired. Doesn't bode well...

I'm tired too Mrs C :( no problems waking up while on holiday, but now it's a work day it's a struggle.

WM on with new bedding which will need several washes to get rid of the smell. DW emptied, food taken out of freezer to defrost. Breakfast made an eaten. So I need to get dressed for my walk (that'll be fun in the torrential rain!), hang up a picture and clear the kitchen windowsill so during the day I can clean the sill and the window...

Good luck JoJo. Pace yourself. And maybe refuse to clean until the junk is gone... That way your mother will see the dirt that the clutter has been hiding.
