I have given my mum 6 items of casual clothing. I'd forgotten that I had them. They may not fit her, but there is a clothes recycling bin at a nearby shop so she can pass them on if necessary. A friend had given most of them to me with the same instruction to feel free to pass them on. I am intending to go winter clothes shopping this week, so I may have another 4 skirts to pass on after that. The ones that I have from a friend are a bit darker than I'd like to wear but I won't get rid in case my shopping trip is unsuccessful.
blossomhill, thank you for your answering pm the other day. I keep meaning to reply to it. I will at some point.
DS has gone out for a bit. DD and DH are asleep in bed, so I took the opportunity to tidy away DD's toys. She'll get them all out again before bath and bed but a few minutes of peace and calm are working wonders for me.
Still have quite a lot of laundry in various stages, but am going to find time to watch The Railway Children on ITV3 (I think) in half an hour. That will make me blub. Wine and tissues are at the ready.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Hi folks, some great stuff going on but I like this idea a lotI am tackling small stuff earlier and more regularly so it is becoming part of normal household duties.
I haven't had a dream I could remember for weeks but last night dreamt I was rock climbing without ropes round the outside of local Lidl to try and get to the door without dropping baby that I was carrying in a moses basket! I am sure there is a message in there somewhere, probably telling me I am making life hard for myself! or in danger of throwing the baby out with the bathwater :rotfl:
Going out for the day today involved putting up ironing board trying not to brain the cat that was having its breakfast in the only kitchen space, trying not to dangle the top into the cat food, then having to wear compromise socks as the new ones I wanted (anti-blister as I was going walking) were lost in the heaps, then they fell out of the sock basket onto me with all their mates when I went to get a pack of tissues, I stopped to change into them and made myself very late to meet friends - oh the life of a hoarder!
PS - ironing while watching Downton would be sacriledge, Downton should be seen without distraction in case of missing a sardonic raise of Maggie Smith's eyebrow! You never know how far-reaching something good, that you may do or say today, may affect the lives of others tomorrow0 -

Oh OK - you've persuaded me!
:rotfl:I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Help, what do I do with spare socks? Do charity shops take them or will they have to go as rags?0
-
See if a nursery wants them for making into puppets.
I normally put them in clothing bins if they are okay or for rag if not. Or they are good for stuffing draught excluders.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them.
