Have been out for lunch (OH paid :j) and managed to grab a space in the pub car park (rare) so £4 saved on car parking :j:j:j Think I will stick this in my sealed pot :D

Off to update my spreadsheet and tweak it to ensure I can keep track of all my spends easily.

    Hi everyone

I'm setting £25 for this week, already had big spends today but it was for my friends birthday mostly so I'm ok with it!

Going to the cinema with mum tomorrow now instead of Thursday as it's not on then, so that will be nice! Apart from that, no plans for the week, which I'm looking forward to!

    Sun 10 Jun: £16.26

    Total: £16.26 / £25

I'm just enjoying a mini pot of Mango and Passionfruit Ripple ice cream I got given after our fantastic all you can eat (cooked to order) Chinese yesterday, obviously we snuck the ice creams out with us! :D

    Night all!

I think I know what you're getting at Flat Eric, but I'll need to have a think. Basically you want one sheet to summarise the total spend from June's breakdown s/sheet, then continue when you do a July one, etc?

I'm thinking you want to make a generic "template" sheet which you copy when you want a new month. Obviously you can only put the formulas in your summary sheet for that month once you've created the month spreadsheet... as for 33 headings, why not use the fill function instead of typing the formula each time? It should automatically increment by 1 when you drag...

Yes that just about sums it up. :T I have given it some thought and may just have one sheet for the monthly breakdown (where I type in my daily spends) and have the monthly totals at the top (in the same sheet). This will make it easier when it comes to next month and future months. Going to have a play around with it tonight. Until I have completed the month - its going to be hard to know what will work best. Because of course once the month is done - I will know the total and can simply enter this figure in the main expenditure speadsheet and use the June (template/spreadsheet) for July (and so on)

If I do display all months/and summary spends in one sheet well the only thing I can't decide if I do it this way is whether to display my daily spends like a bank statement (i.e.) the oldest is at the bottom? or whether to simply add a row each time I need to add a spend - so oldest at top and newest spend at the bottom of the sheet. Thoughts welcome...

Oh and in spending news - back to work today :( - have lunch planned - and strawberries to take for breakfast so hoping to limit spends to ZERO!

Well no spends for me as yet, but i have slightly cheated. I did manage to see hubby yesterday. :j:j:j But...

We used our joint account for our spends, but to be honest i was just so pleased to see him that i didnt really keep track or worry about what we were spending. so need to work that out.

Flat Eric - i can't help you with your spreadsheet as i use an adapted one that someone put on here a while ago, just didnt want to ignore your question.
