Anything to make you feel important and having a purpose in life, eh, Phil? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
No, I keep telling you, I've been sucked in by the surreal world on here. It's quite interesting, how you advocate parking anywhere, and insisting anarchy is fine, but completely losing it when you find not everyone agrees with you in the real world. You appear to have a very bigotted, one sided view, I, personally, prefer some semblance of rule, you appear not to, and now appear to accuse me of working for a parking company? I won't deny I came into a thread where, rightly or wrongly, I saw abuse of a disabled bay. Now I'm posting on a thread were I support some control and have been annoyed over a specific shop car park. In another thread I've been accused of having a chip on my shoulder. Maybe this car park is the cause of it? Again, your pedigree suggests you need to be controlled, and laws do need to be made for to control your behaviour. The exact case in point you fully endorse. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2577323 You keep pushing it, me, I still want them uplifted and crushed when it affects me. ( I never said I know nothing, you said that when I didn't toe the line, I know, but simply think your view is naive and simplistic)
It seems a waste of time repeating this because you choose not to listen. But once again, we do NOT advocate parking anarchy. We frown on people using disabled bays when they have no need to. We do NOT encourage people to avoid paying lawful and just charges to use a car park.
What we are against is the bunch of parasites that think they can make a fast buck out of drivers for any deviation from perfection- often imagined anyway. They are the ones living in a surreal world, where they think they can invent rules and fine people who break them (or in many cases not break them) and usually cynically ride roughshod over the law and peoples' rights in the process.
Just as the clampers will soon be gone and good riddance, these "parking cowboys" should either come into the real world where they DO NOT have any powers, or be eradicated.
Unfortunately they rely on a widespread ignorance of the law to do what they do.
As I have said before, this isn't an academic discussion forum. It is one where we try to help people who have problems.
Had you done a bit more reading before posting, you would see what we mean about the excesses of these pirates.0 -
You've thrown down the gaunlet. I provided a link in my post. Read post #5, tell me how I've mis-read it? Or tell me you need to take the "NOT"out of your response. And remember you cited the poster as your champion.0

Post #5 wasn't even made by you. We are not here to throw down gauntlets. You just seem to want to come on to a help and advice board and pick fights with everyone. Isn't there somewhere else you would rather be?0 -
Doing fine here. It's a forum, you appear to enjoy picking fights, just with anyone that doesn't fit into your cliche.I asked for your view on the post, and you are certainly right, it's not one I would post in a million years, for someone who was trying it on and blocking a space legitimate users could be using. I assume by your bluster you agree it is fine to do as was described. Which is why the rest of us want an enforcable penalty imposed for those who do it.0

You've picked a mighty strange thread to append your post to. Have you looked at the myriad other (more relevant) threads here?
The laws haven't changed (yet). Nothing is different. Even when the Freedom Act comes in (assuming that is what you are alluding to), then still nothing changes. The tickets are just as unenforceable, and ignoring will continue to be the best approach.0 -
Mick, the law has not changed yet. It may come into force in October, but the change won't be retrospective. Even after the change the charge will almost certainly not be enforceable anyway. So you can happily ignore.0

It's quite interesting how, despite it being pointed out to you several times, that you continue to misrepresent the way things are done on the parking forum. Maybe you need someone to explain it to you, in words of one syllable, to give you a fighting chance? Or maybe you are much happier throwing lies around in an attempt to wind people up?"You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

It just shows who's side the government's on, and it is not the 99%. A nice little bit of fascistic legislation!0
