Does New Law (May 2012) Make Registered Keeper Liable to Parking Charges?

Of course they won't. Don't forget, the uninitiated simply pay these tickets without questioning the enforceability. The sensible parking companies will continue to rely on that.
Its the greedy ones who want to try and prove that their tickets ARE enforceable who are coming a cropper in the courts, adding unwanted publicity about the legitimacy of their operations, and generally spoiling it for the other PPCs.
But I suspect that there will always be a significant amount of people who blindly pay up without realising they don't legally need to.
That number will decrease with sites like this, and people like Simon Renshaw Smith drawing unwanted attention to this, but it will probably still make financial sense for a lot of PPCs to just quietly carry on.Je Suis Cecil.0
