just having a quick catch up while at work and didn't see your posts last night. You are so strong and positive despite all the hardship you are going through.
Can I just say that your surgery should have a duty dr available every day even if your own regular Gp is not working, especially with palliative care patients the regular follow up is essential.
We usually do start patients off on 10mg twice daily but this is just to check he has no major adverse effects. from what you are saying the dose needs to increased ASAP. Please don't wait for the GP to call......please please ring the surgery and leave a message for the duty dr to ring and advise on the dosage as soon as you can. The GP should be ringing you every other day or even every day if you need that support. Please also get the Macmillan nurse also more involved they are great with this sort of thing and can ring and ask the GP to change doses etc for you.
the other thing is I am wondering if he was hallucinating last night with the oramorph or maybe he was just dreaming? I wouldn't be afraid of giving it to him every 2-4 hours as needed, please be generous with it, if the hallucinations continue in the daytime or if his pain is not getting better more quickly I would suggest patches to your GP
All the best and please don't hesitate to PM me anytime-i am happy to give you my telephone number, i know we are not supposed to give advice but i cannot just sit back and watch you lovely people suffering:(
Celebrate your such a sweetie, i would offer my services (im a nurse) but i think your pretty sorted with this A*** advice :A
3dogs please dont wait to contact your gp or nhs direct ect of you are at all worried.
im always here for cuddles, a moan or just a chat. Pm me and ill happily give you my contact details xxx0 -

do you all keep track of what you've applied for and when? I seem to get things and forget when I applied for them
Just left a statement on Toscos FB page about cancelled deliveries.
When does the contract for a purchase begin? I've had money taken out each time something's been cancelled then refunded later, just wanted to find that out as I thought it started when the cash was taken out or am I wrong???SPC #329 £471/£500 banked
SPC 2014 £1100:D

Mornin' all (only just)
Just about to go off to lunch break and its taken me 3 days to catch up on the thread.
Got introduced to a good website this week.
Its free to register
www.myfitnesspal.com
Its a little scary as i can only have 1200 calories a day in order to lose 0.5lbs a week.
On Monday I ate 1800 calories (mostly in fruit and veg)
Now the same food on Weight watchers was 21 of my 26 daily allowance
I have now lost confidence in Weight Watchers pro Points
They have this as an app aw well. I did it for quite a while then got bored and gave up:D. It was quite good though for making me think about what I was eating and drinking.0 -
3 dogs I really hope the docs can help you get the pain under control, theres no need for him to suffer, so hopefully following Celebrates post it will be sorted soon x x
Thanks for the advice re kennels. Apparently the £300 is for 24hr care which you dont get at other kennels...what a load of guff!
3dogs could I possibly have the name of the Kennels you use.... as Wis is not too far to bring them on our way through. I would be happy to leave them as you obviously trust them with yours x x0 -
3 Dogs, I don't post often, as I struggle to find time, but I wanted to add my support for you, I cant imagine what you are going through, and only wish I could help in some way. Your posts are amazing and they show what a good, strong, caring person your are. I am glad that you have people to care for you too. sending hugs and best wishes to you both!0
