    :)

Can't get on with the Sony eReader so I'll take it back.
So I went to WH Smiths & bought the £49.99 Kobo with SSM vouchers & 2 x Fathers Day £15 Gift card deals ;)
A lot easier but not touch screen :) But then that all went wrong as it wouldn't connect to our Wifi :(:(:(
    Didn't destroy it
Come today & we have no Internet connection at all so had to ring BT - sorted :)
Then charged Kobo for the advised 3 hours & Fourp managed to connect :T bought a book & then the connection failed :mad::mad::mad:
    Could I download the $0dd1ng book :(:(
    so so frustrating :o
Have done it now & Kobo is still in one piece :)
The great thing about the Sony reader and the Kobo is that you can download library books onto them - saves so much money. I belong to two libraries and both have ebooks - you usually only have to have your library ticket number and sometimes a pin number.

Alan felt much better when I woke him at 1.30 so he got ready and wwe popped dowwn to the cafe, ringing to let Mr Cafe knoww we were on our way and to have our bacon, egg and cheese sarnies ready as he closes at 2pm. Afterwards we had a little look around the auction and then picked up our meds at the surgery dispensary, before heading home and Alan going straight back to bed

You mention this auction a lot. What is it exactly? Houses? I'm picturing you on "Homes under the Hammer".

I've been really lucky recently, I normally get the average 10-20 points. Anything over 20+ I'm over the moon with tbh. Lately I've had a few 30's and I found a 46 pointer the other day after putting the 30 pointer on :j

I don't think I'm that good at it;):p But I did just bend over and pick up the receipt today in front of a load of people, stopped caring now :j just need to wear a t-shirt saying wombling in progress:rotfl::rotfl: or watch out, there's a wombler about.

An example of why Tesco makes me

    http://www.tesco.com/groceries/ProductBuylist/default.aspx?id=L00005940&icid

There is no way that the peaches and nectarines were worth £3.39 before.

£1 should be the normal price!

You can get the same things from Aldi for 69p:

    http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/product_range/4862.htm

Tesco conning people to think they've come across a deal.

    :eek::mad::mad::mad::mad::eek:
thanks for posting this,I hadnt looked at Aldi offers this week and was going to get cherries from mr t with £1 voucher .Got 4 boxes from aldi today before popping in to T`s . I`ve eaten a box on my own before picking the kids up and they are yummy:)
  • Went to M*ryh!ll and tried the MaM deal- not a great success, I'm afraid...

Firstly, the ONLY item they had in the range was the bacon pieces, not even a sausage to be seen. Then, the Price Flop coupon wouldn't scan - turns out in my haste I'd picked up the meat counter one and not the pre-packed meats one facepalm.gif .Still wasn't a bad price for the bacon with the MaM coupons, so just took it.
A few impatient shoppers behind me rolling their eyes. Luckily I've become immune to this- the last laugh was mine when my £21.34 bill shrunk to £2.11 thanks to a variety of coupons :D

    Thanks ♥

:( Vets just rung & said I shouldn't go on holiday & leave Ancient cat with the house sitter. What if he has a 'turn' - would I give the responsiblity to them to have him put to sleep ?????:mad::mad:
My sister lives a few doors away & would step in if it happened & fingers crossed it doesn't ♥
I know my carp day is minute to others on here so again I apologise for vocalising about my small problems
    Will disappear & try & unstress :o

Your vet is not exactly nice is he
We had a family holiday booked to Florida a few years ago and it was a difficult time as my Great Uncle (although more like my grandad to me) was very ill in hospital (he had decided to stop eating as he missed his wife and wanted to be with her) and at the same time our beloved family cat (we had, had him since I was 6) was very ill with mouth cancer.
We didn't know how long either my uncle or our cat had left, but decided that we should not cancel the holiday, as that is not what my uncle would have wanted and being at home would not change anything if something did happen whilst we were away. My sister was staying behind anyway and would be looking after our cat and my uncle was also local in case anything happened to my great uncle.

So before we left, we moved my uncle from his horrible NHS hospital (Mayday in Croydon), where they had been treating him really badly, and got him settled into a smaller kind of village hospital. Then took my cat for a check-up with the vets and made sure my sister and my uncle had my mobile number in case they needed to contact us whilst we were away.

I did recieve a call whilst we were away, but it was my uncle that had passed and after visiting him just before we left I had expected this. My lovely darling cat though stayed strong and was still with us for another 3 months after we returned.

You being away will not change how you feel about ancient cat, and you should not feel bad if anything did happen. You will be leaving him in the safe hands of a housesitter and your sister and i'm sure he will be just fine and waiting for you when you return, to give him lots of attention and cuddles.

You deserve the break and your vet is wrong to try and make you feel bad, and I would tell him that too if it were me

You and fourp, should take your holiday and enjoy it xxxx

I am supposed to be going to a party tonight but father in law has taken a turn for the worst. He has been ill for a long time getting much worse the last few years. He has been bed ridden for at least the last year, when he has a bad turn he no longer goes into hospital.

the thing is we are all used to him being ill and alhtough hubby says this seems like the end I don't think its sinking in.

My father in law hasn't eaten for 2 days, they have him on a medication syringe driver and have stopped his fluids. This is exactly what happened with my mum in her last few days.
