I've been really lucky recently, I normally get the average 10-20 points. Anything over 20+ I'm over the moon with tbh. Lately I've had a few 30's and I found a 46 pointer the other day after putting the 30 pointer on :j

I don't think I'm that good at it;):p But I did just bend over and pick up the receipt today in front of a load of people, stopped caring now :j just need to wear a t-shirt saying wombling in progress:rotfl::rotfl: or watch out, there's a wombler about.

I have no fear, the Lala's know that, just never seem to be able to find any, off to cheer up an old friend, I doubt I'll miss much in the England game

Went to M*ryh!ll and tried the MaM deal- not a great success, I'm afraid...

Firstly, the ONLY item they had in the range was the bacon pieces, not even a sausage to be seen. Then, the Price Flop coupon wouldn't scan - turns out in my haste I'd picked up the meat counter one and not the pre-packed meats one facepalm.gif .Still wasn't a bad price for the bacon with the MaM coupons, so just took it.
A few impatient shoppers behind me rolling their eyes. Luckily I've become immune to this- the last laugh was mine when my £21.34 bill shrunk to £2.11 :D

I got 16 packs of the M-a-M ham along with 2 bottles Green Mark Vodka and 2 cool bags, total before multibuys/offers £68 after a wombled £4 off £30 plus coupons = £22 :D

3 dogs please dont take this the wrong way, but you must think about the inevitable as well. maybe chat about the sort of funeral alan wants. what you will do when your a widow.
maybe get a shoe box and put his bits and bobs in there. when my hubby was dying we did just this, i asked my son what shall we put in it. we put some pictures, his tobacco pouch and his mug. son wanted to put his dads false teeth in the box as well:eek: but i said no to that.

sorry if i have upset anyone.:(

Brought a tear to my eye but in a good way;)and will to Nannylalas too. My dad even showed my mum where to put the dishwasher salt in the dishwasher because he always did it;)They sorted out everything before he died including the most emotional thing, he died in the February and he bought her an eternity ring for Xmas as she didnt have one and they also renewed their wedding vows too which was the most emotional & moving thing ever as everyone knew he was termillay ill:(

Just to bore you all - I've had an absolute carp 24 hours :(

Horrid work colleague had another go :mad: very very nearly walked but have only tomorrow to work until hols. I thought we worked for the same side but obviously not - tackled them about it later & got nowhere as it seems they can't please me :eek:
All I did was call out the back for someone to help clear the queue. There were 3 of them out back.
    This colleague appears & states '3 - that's not a queue' & walks off :mad::mad::mad:
Didn't let me explain that the queue of 3 had been there 10 minutes as I was dealing with a complicated customer.
:( The worst bit is the shame as I went out the back & actually cried :(

Humungous hugs to you, why are some people so flipping horrible:mad:

Just about to lose the plot here:eek::eek:Mr Lala has 7 websites and I'm doing them for him, just getting one sorted and apparently theirs something wrong with the "Breadcrumbs":rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:only crumbs I know anything about are at the bottom of my breadbin;) Frustration is seriously kicking in:mad:
No T's today but will be going to tomorrow(Unless theirs a huge glitch tonight;))
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:

Just busy catching up again and might I add my voice to the small chorus singing Aldi/Lidl's praises -the quality of their fruit and veg is miles above T's! I've bought some ready meals and meat there as well and the same goes for that. Lidl's chilled lasagne deserves a special mention. :)

Footie  glad i not there
  • I'm another aldi/lidl fan when it comes to fruit and veg. I remember my Dad saying their stuff wasn't very good, next time I cooked him a roast he was saying how lovely and fresh all the veg was and that the chicken was really good too - I had great delight in telling him everything except the gravy had come from lidl :D

Any suggestions on what to do with a bunch of yellow and green peppers? I was going to simply cut them into thin strips and freeze them for later use in stir frys and some such, but am wondering if anyone here has a better idea. :)

I usually chop them up and fry them in olive oil, I throw in whatever woopsie veg I have in the fridge, like leeks, courgettes, onions, asparagus, etc Then after about 5 minutes of frying, I pour over a tin of tomatoes, or if I have fresh tomatoes going soft I will skin them and put those in instead, some dried mixed herbs or dried thyme etc a splash of lemon juice. I then simmer for about 25 minutes. I then put it all in a large dish, melt some grated cheese on top. When it's cooled I keep it in the fridge and eat it over a few days, heating up in the microwave what I need, I will have it with mackrel? maybe chicken? whatever is in the fridge or freezer! or sometimes just with crusty bread. It's really delicious and helps with the dieting as it's mainly all veg :D kids eat it too!

I am supposed to be going to a party tonight but father in law has taken a turn for the worst. He has been ill for a long time getting much worse the last few years. He has been bed ridden for at least the last year, when he has a bad turn he no longer goes into hospital.

the thing is we are all used to him being ill and alhtough hubby says this seems like the end I don't think its sinking in.

My father in law hasn't eaten for 2 days, they have him on a medication syringe driver and have stopped his fluids. This is exactly what happened with my mum in her last few days.

Hugs to you FloFlo. The not knowing is not easy. I suppose you have to ask yourself, how important is the party?, is it close enough that you could leave early if you needed to?, do you want to be with your FIL when the time actually comes?

It really is only a decision you can make, but if you go to the party and something does happen don't feel bad about it as that i'm sure is not what your FIL would want. Perhaps you could go and see him before the party and then see how you feel ((hugs))
