Wow, great going on the not using credit card for so long.
You're doing really well!
It looks like my Grocery Challenge is unlikely to come under budget this month so I'm not going to be as happy as last month. I need to have a weekly spend of £20 or less to come in under budget but it's unlikely ... we'll see. I've planned all our meals for the coming week:
Today: Tomato & Bacon lasagne with garlic bread
Tomorrow: Corned Beef Hash
Tues: Sweet & Spicy Turkey Skewers with Salad
Weds: Fajitas
Thurs: Chilli
Fri: Meaty Pasta
Most of the stuff I've already got in so it shouldn't be too hard. Do you have any plans for the hols?

Yummy...sounds great!! I still need to share my recipes...I do them on a four week rota...only deviate when there are special offers on...
Here's week one for u as promised...
Gammon ham joint (makes enough for 2 meals some freeze half) with mash and frozen peas
Beef chilli and rice (again I make about 4 portions and freeze half)
Tomato pasta sauce (onions garlic tins toms and whatever left over veg you have, basil, salt , dash of red wine vinegar if u have it, pepper all blended in food processor) I always make a huge vat of it and freeze leads of portions as its a good base sauce for Spag bol too! It's also super healthy for kids!
Chicken cury made from scratch using the curry in a hurry paste which if found on mortgage free in three website
Then the rest of the week we have left overs or baked potatoes cheap and cheerful!!!LBM 8/6/12

I'll have to check out the curry sauce recipe as curry is one of those recipes I've never been able to master with any degree of success. The pasta sauce sounds amazing
And there's nowt wrong with baked potatoes - they're a favourite here - sometimes jazzed up with BBQ sauce and fridge remnants.
... I could talk about food all day ...

Still going strong....have decided to change my sig and focus solely on clearing unsecured debt...the mortgage can wait a little....
When I get back from hols I'm gonna keep working on keeping down the grocery bills and selling everything I can on eBay...that should give me more money to throw at the debt...
Catch you all soon...LBM 8/6/12

Hi Joanne, nice to see you doing so well! How is your hubby feeling with the spending restrictions. Is he onboard?
xIn debt no more!0 -
He's on board to a degree...money isn't his strong point and he let's me deal with everything...
On the positive side he spends very little ... It's always been me spending what we can't afford...he just went along with it..
He understands that this is really impt to me and is supporting me every step of the way xxxLBM 8/6/12

Phew..what a day! Back off hols late last night...up early to fetch the dog (kennels under charged me so knocked of £20 off card as soon as I got home!) had done full shop at lidl by 11am (over spent by £4.39) but only cos I had to get weed killer ...we returned to a garden of them!!)
Since then I've made bacon and lentil soup, sweet pot and carrot soup, albodingas (Spanish meatballs) made with whoopsie minced pork, made pork and apple burgers and spiced pork burgers..all with the same whoopsie pork mince and finally a vat of my pasta tom sauce..enough for around 20 portions!!
Oh and cleaned the bathroom!!
No wondered I'm exhausted!!!
