  • hi Joanne you're doing really well :) i'm going to subscribe if you don't mind and follow your journey....you asked about paying for things in cash before as well. When i first started on my DF journey i took out cash every month, i'd have an envelope for petrol, clothes, grocery etc and left my card at home it really helped me stick to budget. I also joined the grocery challenge where everyone was so helpful and nice! I managed to get my grocery bill down from £500 + to around half of that each month :)

great news on the rebate too btw :)

Hi thanks for the tip on taking cash out...I'd been a bit nervous about doing it and havent taken the plunge yet...instead I've been keeping receipts and religiously updating my spreadsheet every night...so far so good!! Good to know that it works for you so that i can give it a go if i find it difficult to stick to the updating!

Great to have you on board and following...the support is making the world of difference!:)

Wow, your tea sounds lovely. Keep up the good work with the meal planning and shopping list. It has worked for me (along with a bit of will power) I found that by eating at mealtimes and drinking water I've lost a few lbs already since the June Grocery Challenge began. It's quite a rarity!

I need to get working on my shopping list for next week. I'd love to see your mealplan at some point to get some inspiration :)

I'll have type up for you at the weekend when i'm planning next weeks but what i' ve found is working is stock taking before i start thinking about what we'll be eating and then planning around this - i'm also making extra every meal and freezing the extra - so we're saving pounds and precious time too!!

Yeah, that's what I do. I've created my mealplan for the week and posted it on the Old Style Board - I'm going to stick to it this time :D

How is everything going? Haven't heard from you in a while.

Hiya....yes, I,ve been a little quiet of late....I could list a gazillion of excuses but honestly I can feel my motivation waning a little....it's a mix of things work stuff, holiday approaching but if I,m really honest...just a real lack of prioritisation on my part...on the good news front tax rebate has landed...BUT so has an unexpected bill to the tune of 250 for the car but at least no credit card in sight of being used! I,m a little disappointed in myself too....I,ve been budgeting so well that I,ve relaxed a little and already this week I,ve bought lunch three times and wasted £12 instead of taking my packed lunch in....

K I haven't fogrgotten that I promised u some meal planners...u might av to bear with me..working all weekend so may be a few days before I can load but I will try!!!

Think I'll av a browse over the pages on here an re find my inspiration!!!

    Thanks for ur continued support!!
