Hi Lee
I also emailed you using the form regarding Vodafone putting incorrect late payments on my credit file. My ref is # 12509089
Thank you0 -
Hi Lee,
Please can you help me? I visited the Vodafone store in Birmingham back in October 2015 and began a new contract, with an iPhone 5. I then decided against it so took the phone back into store within the 10 day period and cancelled the contractI then received a bill for the said phone, I phoned Vodafone immediately and they said they hadn't received the returned phone and I could only sort this in store. I went back to store, they said they'd sort it. I phoned Vodafone to check who told me it was sorted and account closed. I then returned from holiday 04.01.16 to be presented by a bill of £80 odd pounds and that if not paid I'd have a default. I then once again called Vodafone who said they needed to check I'd returned the phone in the given period, they had to wait for the warehouse to open; I called back 6th Jan and they said they'd got the docs and all was fine and that my credit would be sorted. I today needed to sort my car insurance out with a new insurer and I was t able to pay monthly due to a default against my name. So once again I called Vodafone.... Account is still open saying I owe and as it's a Sunday will have to wait for tomorrow Monday 1st Feb to check if once again I took the phone back in the given period! This is driving me absolutely crazy and I've now had to pay up front for a years' car insurance with none of this my fault!!!
thanks

Thank you for resolving my issue Lee.0

Lee didn't resolve our issue with Vodafone (phone can't be unlocked- not prepared to refund the cost of the phone) and basically referred us back to customer services (who are on the whole nice but not entirely helpful). Doubly annoying as the phone is for a charity.
I am however glad that some people have had their issues resolved as it gives me (faint) hope.0 -
The I'll take it away again. The rest of Vodafone is there to run you around in circles and create new problems, so if Lee can't help I'd give up.0

Hi Lee, Hoping you can help as Customer Services have kept me on hold upto an hour each phone call and each time I have conflicting advice that does not solve my situation.
We needed internet in our office so I was advised in store that by setting up a consumer account it would be the quickest way to get a dongle and to get the wifi needed for our temporary office location. Due to late payments by my company on said Vodafone Account I had set up under my name on behalf of my company, I now have a poor credit rating.
Apparently there are two late payments on the account (of around £253) as this was alerted to me via an Experian Credit Check - I bought the Vodafone contract on behalf of the company and with a company card and am now being penalised as they hadn't made the final payments? I would so love your assistance on this as Vodafone's mistake / my 'generosity' to set this up as a consumer / customer to quickly get us internet has left me with a bad credit rating.
The mobile number/dongle has now been disconnected and the payments made in full. I have also (on suggestion by your customer service team) visited a store with letter from my company accepting responsibility.
This poor credit rating needs to be removed or transferred as the company is liable for repercussions. Not me. Please can help!0 -
Hi Lee - My reference number is [#12650372]
Thanks, Holly0 -
Although Lee will undoubtedly do his best, it was in your name and so is your liability. Even though it was paid in full your credit file records it for 6 years. It will therefore affect your credit rating and as far as anyone is concerned it is you who has to take the repercussions.0

Thanks @mobilejunkie, although of course not what I want to hear.
I do understand, however surely there can be leniencies as I was requested to do so under duress by my company - my company have written a letter stating they mistake and that they are willing to take full responsibility?
There is also the slight issue that Vodafone never requested the outstanding monies, nor made me aware of it - else they would have already been paid in full (without being late!)0 -
I can't see how. You had an individual contract and they are an organisation. Even if they were a person it was in your name. Credit agencies wouldn't work if you could switch a negative record to someone else. Maybe Lee can help with a new contract, but even that's doubtful and it won't alter your personal external files.
One thing does seem fairly certain; if he can't help in this instance then no-one else can.0
