You're welcome, hope you both get some good tips from it. x0 -
Had to add another spend to signature £15 on a meal out last night- myself and two collegues go out once a month for food
Also £2 on milk for work
I cant believe how much me and OH eat out!! Before I started this challenge I would go as far as to say 'we never go out'
Im looking forward to the chilli jam recipe!!O/S weight loss 2.5 /10lbs (11st 8.0- 08.02)0 -
Evening! Hope everyone is doing OK. I've had another (little) spend today - £4.53 on sandwich stuff which I'd accidentally left off the list and also on some mushrooms which I'd left until later in the week anyway. We get through so many mushrooms...
Anyway, just had a lovely chicken curry (jar, as I've yet to find a recipe that works for me) which has left a small portion for me to take to work as lunch tomorrow. And tomorrow, I'm going to have an NSD - am determined! I do need to buy petrol, but that's a different budget.
I'll get working on next week's mealplan now, to use up some different items from the freezer. Black Bean Chicken with Noodles tomorrow!
As for Twinks' hobnobs ... they last quite a while in the tin (if they get there ) I've made a massive batch of them and they've kept just fine for a couple of weeks, only starting to go a little soft towards the end of that time. I bake them for a little longer if I want to keep them longer, and they're still good even a little soft, especially broken up and mixed in with ice cream!
Have a lovely evening, everyone.

Another NSD for us here. Had 2 vouchers for Dalepak stuff so OH got some rib grills and gammon grills. Can't believe how much grease and oil came off them. Yuk.You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Had a NSD yesterday, and today spent £12.70 on a bag of dog food and £4.54 at Mr T (stock cubes, milk and soda crystals). Running total so far for July = £57.21..Target July Grocery Challenge: £350
Target so far:£83.560 -
very surprised to open my fridge this evening and see that I've nearly eaten everything with minimal wastage! That never happens and the only wastage was down to there already having been veggies in the fridge before the veg box was delivered! Using a hm ready meal and rice for lunch tomorrow and Friday, plus a few apricots, then the new box arrives and I'll start cooking from scratch again. Very impressed with myself!GC: Jan £118.67/£175
Owed to Mum - £1,487/£6,400
Overdraft - [STRIKE]£1,391[/STRIKE]
Total - £2,878/£7,7910 -

We have a fab 'proper' butcher is our local town, I usually bulk buy meat at a wholesaler, but I,m thinking of buying from the butcher from next month, it,ll be more expensive per pound, but the quality of the meat is amazing, so should in theory use less - does anyone else do this, how did it compare to SM type meat?
Off to update sig now.
Have a fab evening all x
i buy from HERE its my mums local butcher not mine , but they do an online service, i get the discount meat selection every couple of months . the meat is naturally grazed and traditionally finished , free range chickens and is excellent quality , not pumped up with water, therefore i need to use less :j there is no comparison with SM meat. the delivery is speedy too i buy enough to avoid the post and packing costs . A spend of £7.45 tonight but that is it now til Saturday so I should be under budget this week.
It was good to see felicity foraging tonight. Wish they'd shown the pignut plant in more detail but I'm sure I will ID it from the FFF book at some point.
