Morning, peeps
A gorgeous day here. The sun has come out to play:j
Taking the sprogs to a local museum today for a special event. There is the second tray of cottage pie which was unused yesterday so that is lunch sorted.
Eggy bread for breakfast which was a nice treat.... Actually, I am contemplating using up the last scrapings if batter to make myself another one.... only to clean up the jug, of course
The late afternoon will be spent gardening :j :j :j. I am sooooooo happy. It's been frustrating not to be able to do the garden jobs due to the inclement weather
Nasturtium soup for supper most probably.
If there are any Lidl sausages left on the way back from the museum, I will stock up. If not, I will set out early tomorrow to get em
I'm gonna pull out some beef slices for tomorrow's dinner so that will be easy. I'll make up a batch of yorky puds too to make up for the smaller portions of meat
Flo has been an inspiration for her portion control advice:T. Nice to have you back on the thread! It's not the same without you:)
Have a fabtastic day, peeps :A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

Hello all
Not posted for a few days, but have been lurking. Hugs to all that are having a rough time. And hope those going away have a good time.
Fozzie hopefully no news is good news with your daughterI have been thinking of you.
Have just updated sigs for the spends I mentioned the other day. so have £15 to last until Monday. I gave extra to stockpile stuff and am going to C0stco this pm. They've a great offer on squash, cheese and Washing up liquid. Also got a couple of items on the list with MrT prices for comparison. Have done an online shop for Tuesday, doesn't seem like much but has come out expensive. I will have to look again with fresh eyes and see if I can reduce anything. It's very easy to add an extra tin here and there. Got a few evenings out next week and little room in the freezer, in fact NO room in my freezer so may have delete some meat and use freezer stock. I need to write down my meal plan as now antenatal class so will be a snacky tea and Wednesday we've been invited to friends as well as normal Monday and Thursday at the in laws. So now I think about it that's not many dinners!
Well I am just rambling on really. Hope everyone has a good afternoon in the sunshine

Afternoon! Today is going to be an NSD! (happydance) I've just written my shopping list and roughly costing it ... I'm reckoning on £15 for next week. I'm still using up stuff in the freezers - we have a chest freezer and an upright but we're trying to use up everything in the chest freezer to put it in the other. We're hoping to switch the chest freezer off to save some power and it really needs defrosting.
I showed a friend how to make some of the cakey things from this thread this morning. She was very impressedand says thanks!

If you are going Asda then look out for campaigners.
They are giving away 1ltr bottles of milk from local farmers to raise awareness to fair pay from Asda for milk as they are not supporting the dairy farmers.:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

Oh dear PG- sending millions of hugs - you sound like you need a few! :grouphug: Hope you're feeling better now.
I didn't know that teachers could claim overtime - well done :T
Hi SusanP - go to the top of the page, and click 'thread tools' then 'subscribe to this thread', then when you log in, click on your user CP and all your subscribed threads will come up on the page. Also if you 'thank' everyone as you go, it's easier to see where you're up to. HTH
Today I popped into MrA for Yorkshire teabags on special, but they were sold out  Bought some icing sugar and some knitting/crochet magazines to take awaybut they're not out of GC money.
Thanks - I had a terrible anaesthetic headache for three days after!! DD had to put me to bed I felt so bad...!!
Full time teachers can't claim overtime - they do the job until it's done, and get paid a pittance per hour if you work it out. I have been working as a TA this year, but the class teacher was off ill for the last 14 days of term, so I stepped in. I was docked my TA pay (tuppence a century, or something equally meaningless!!), and I claimed for those days as a teacher.
And thanks for telling me how to subscribe!tigerfeet2006 wrote: »*PG* well done on getting through the dentist ordeal. I am glad I am not the only one who reacts to a needle like that. Last time I had to have work done I had to go to the teaching hospital and they knocked me out to do it.
So glad it's not just me then! Feel quite pathetic about it, but can't change it...I buy the larger tins of pineapple in Mr A as they are cheaper than the smaller ones but after using some for pizza topping I have a lot left. Does anyone know if it freezes OK?
I do this all the time. I use whatever pineapple I want, then freeze the rest for another day. You can shove it on the pizza from frozen too, so it becomes a convenience food!!
