The Red Arrows were unable to fly due to weather conditions.
I found today a very proud day in our nations history.

I wish the weather had been kinder, but if there's one thing that the British do well, it's pomp!0

Good for you!!
Red Arrows were probably abroad raising funds for those in need.
What a dissappointment for those of us that expected some grandiose event despite the weather,
I should think even Prince Philip would have a few words to day regards the whole sharade
300 million people have, apparently, been watching today's celebrations - ???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a tragedy0 -
Really really dissapointed
Maybe it was the kind of event that just didn't translate too well to television.
Thought the bbc coverage was awful....would have liked to see more of the boats and not Anneka Rice sucking up to a bunch of artists or Tess Daly cavorting in Battersea Park with a suspicious package on her very empty head....oh dear!!!!!!0 -
I thought it was fantastic. What Britain does best!!0

Was waiting for Graham Norton, or Cheryl Cole or maybe Terry Wogan!!!
Maybe some of those chavs from Essex or Chelsea could have partaken in the event.!!! Or Peter Andre, just to attract a TV Audience?? What about Will-IAm??0 -
I aint watched any of it .... I liked it that way0

Came home from a day out doing something completely unrelated to the jubliee, turned TV on about 4pm to find the jubilee was being covered on the BBC.
Have to say I thought the whole thing looked incredibly amateur (everything that is not just the coverage of it). I know there was adverse weather but heck it's Britain, adverse weather is our weather - surely we could have thought of something to put that to our advantage?
Before I even mentioned how dull, bland and boring it all looked to me, my boyfriend piped up how bad it looked as well. I'm thinking any people from or in other nations who saw that will be either sniggering at how bad it was or annoyed they wasted their money coming to see it.£2012 in 2012 member #15: £651.55/£20120 -
I can't wait for tomorrow's celebrations !!!
Ohh - there's a gig outside Buckingham Palace
I do believe Will-I-Am, Kylie etc are headlining.
I also understand Madness are to play "Our House" on the top of the castle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's original??????????????0
