SM I'd go for the watch. The MF journey is all about balance, and it is easy to go off course if you feel deprived of treats. By saving for it too, you feel much more like you've earned it than had you just gone out and bought it on a whim.

  • Yeah Pavlov I hear you! I should have overpaid a third of my yearly target by Feb at this rate!

I'm planning to get some double pay overtime down my neck in 2013 if the opportunity is there as it's just so easy!!!

  • Went past a second hand jewellers and a watch I really liked was there. Two tone, diamonds instead of numbers on the face and a 2006 model so cheaper with room for bargaining. I tried it on and had to walk away to think about it. Going to return NYE during the day for another look.

A combination of nattypants and lulabelle ;).

So, this watch that you WANT, not need :D. Does it have a year marker so you can watch the years tick by as you don't pay your mortgage off.....

Seriously, how long would it set you back? Only you can decide if it is worth it.

  • I'm going to wait until an omega constellation comes into the second hand jewellers then I shall pounce. This could be tomorrow or 5 years time.

Gallygirl you have officially guilted me.

  • As it is 2013 tomorrow here are my aims

    1) get below £75k on the mortgage by December

    2) try and get back to my uni weight of 10 stones by December- this is more of a challenge than the mortgage one, i have to lose 1.5 stones and i can't see it being an easy slog. So no eating between meals and if i'm dying of hunger...why hello there cottage cheese.

    3) Enjoy Glastonbury!

    4) Get £500 of £2 coins by December!

In other news my bin lid broke earlier :(

Luckily it's Brabantia and under 10 years guarantee. I'm getting a new one sent out for free.

Back in work tomorrow and not looking forward to it :(
