I know it's not far, but it's popular with all abilities (even Mo Farah has done them) and it's sometimes fun to have a fast blast. I tend to run longer distances (before being injured) but always used to do these as it was a sociable thing to do and a great way to start the weekend off.Mortgage May 2012 - £129k

Just registered for a 10km..on the 10th Feb...eek! Not too far away at all!

Ran 6.5km tonight in the gym (it seems so much harder in the gym) and also did some cycling.
Room share rent seems to have gone up since i got my lodger nearly 2 years ago. Can't get a room share for less than £500 now (after noseying on spareroom website)
i won't increase my price though as he's a good egg which is probably hard to come by.
My friend has shown an interest in my spare room though and she basically asked if i could kick out young lodger so she could move in...does appear i have a waiting list! My brother is another one!Mortgage 1: May 2012 £90,000 April 2020: £47,000

Going to try and keep this up. The gym wasn't as busy as expected. I imagine the fatty rush will happen on Monday though.

glad i dont go to your gym, your attitude would make me feel so welcome0 -
It was in jest. At least these people (like myself) are doing something about it. I'm no slim Jemima myself which is why i'm found sweating and red faced and it's all the more embarrassing as i always see people from my office in there too.
Mainly handsome men doing weights, improving their muscles. Gah.Mortgage 1: May 2012 £90,000 April 2020: £47,000

Lost 2lb this week. Should hit my target much sooner than expected at this rate. It's hard work though. Ran yesterday in the cold and wow it was cold.
Going for another shortish one again in a bit just to say i have. Don't have much planned for today anyway.
Get paid on Friday so anything left in my bank is basically going on my credit card.
I've swapped over to BT for my internet and calls too. My broadband keeps dropping out and whenever i ring up Sky they keep saying it costs £100 for an engineer whereas if i have the issues with BT they'll come out for free.
For what it is it's cheaper too. Have paid the line rental upfront saving me £60 over the year.
Managed to squeeze into a pair of jeans from my slimmer days. They fasten but WOW the muffin tops are not cool. Still previously they wouldn't even fasten so while i'm still not there i'll be having that as an indicator of how i'm getting on.
Looking forward to when it gets warmer and lighter and i can just simply run along the canal and not have to suffer the horrible gym where it's sweaty and awful.Mortgage 1: May 2012 £90,000 April 2020: £47,000

Well done, great progress, they'll be hanging off you in no time :T.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Did 5 hours of overtime this morning on double pay. The offices and in Southampton and Bristol shut because of the snow so they needed people to help out. They wanted me to stay until six but I'd had enough by two!
Went to my parents then went out again to buy a rug for my sitting room. I managed to get a lovely rug and some pictures for the sitting room for £85 which I was very pleased with! I've been meaning to get a rug for months!!!
Payday came and an automatic OP of £106 went to the big M of doom (no not McDonald's) and I'm on track to pay a £1000 lump sum when I get February's pay!
Diet is going well, lost 6lb so far!! Got to keep it up even running in the snow tomorrow!Mortgage 1: May 2012 £90,000 April 2020: £47,000
