Jamie oliver has his own website, there are lots of recipes on there! I would ask your library to get you in some of his books, wont cost you a penny doing it this way!

I would just rather buy a nice book (or put it on my prezzie list) & have them to keep.
  • Just as a matter of interest MrsE, when you did the chicken tikka masala did you do your own curry paste or did you use Patak's?

Pataks, my mate Jamie, says they're very good:rotfl:

Its just a blend of herbs & spices in oil, isn't it?
  • Yep! That's what I was hoping you'd say. The reason I asked was that you'd said it was as good as a curry house, and I was hoping you'd managed to achieve this with something where the fiddliest bit comes out of a jar :D cos to be honest I don't see myself making my own curry pastes on a regular basis.

Sorry I can't answer your original question though - MoF is the only Jamie book I've got.

I just got 'Cook with Jamie' out of the library today. It is fantastic. Most recipes probably aren't suitable for throwing together after a busy day at work, but it's worth a look. Do NOT buy it. Get it from the library.
Also any of the original Naked Chef series - all good. My fav is probably 'Happy Days With The Naked Chef'. Lots of fast recipes in it - even tells you how to make a great sausage butty :)

If you like Italian food Jamie has an entire book devoted to Italian food based on the tv series he did touring Italy. It's a good book! :)

I know about that one (well I've seen it on the web) I wondered if anyone who had it would recommend it.

TBH I can actually cook & I don't want to buy a recipe book to tell me how to make a sausage sandwich.....

I know what I want, I want the ministry of food 2:D

I wish Salisbury's would make a nice cookery book out of all this "feed your family for £5" recipes, they are seem aimed at busy families.

Jamie's Dinners is good - there's a recipe in there for Chicken Tikka Masala that's better than the one in MoF.
