My favorite cookbook is the web ;) If I fancy a particular thing I just google for it or check the recipes on here. I don't print the recipe out but I have been known to email a good recipe to myself just to store it on gmail.

Me too. If I fancy making something, I just look at what I have got in, what ingredients, herbs etc...and google it, find something nice, then print them off and keep them in a folder. But love the Fast Food (recipes from the F Word) cookbook from Mr Ramsay, just right for me, tasty things with fresh ingredients but quick to do. :D

I've just bought a new copy of the Good Housekeeping book, the one with the silver cover. The deserts look fab - can't wait to test them out.
I'm pretty boring though, stick to the same tried and tested recipes, though I am going to try some different fish ones.

hi all my daughter is 26yr she set up home about a year ago with her partner they are expecting there first baby in a month she never used to cook much but since shes been pregnant has been doing a bit and trying to eat healthy can anyone recommend a book that migh be useful for simple recipes and maybe some useful tips thanks
  • I've just bought my son (10) one from the Book People and it's aimed at kids but the food in it is really nice and it has step by step pictures so it'll help if she's not had much experience and it's also healthy and quick too. http://www.thebookpeople.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10051_124176_100_48117__category_

A very good cookbook that I have recommended to somebody else is: -

Tamasin Day Lewis - All you can eat

It covers everything and is huge

Was going to suggest exactly what Sarah did! I have been married a year and until then we both lived at home and I could probably count the number of times I cooked on one hand. Basically I was hopeless!!

What I have done is get a folder and print off a lot of simple recipies from the internet. Some of which have turned out lovely, others not so good. The not so good ones get taken out of the folder and binned. Then I know what is in my folder is all things that we like/can make.

Have found Delias web site to be good, or on occassions I just google a particular thing. Like for example Lasagne, have a little read at what comes up and pick what looks like the easiest method!

    Hope this helps a little.

I have found this is the best way, as I have loads of cook books but since having my 18month daughter it's not so easy to sit down with a book :rotfl:

I have found loads of websites so if you want me to list them just let me know x
