Thanks man, when I initially contacted 3663, they put me through to VMS who took all the details and gave me a ref number and said they are passing on the details to the insurers for 3663 and the insurers will be in touch., which is what so far happened. I assume once I get the repair quote from the service centre(going there tomorrow morning) then the insurers will probably pass it back to you guys to sort it out ? - will this process sequence be right ?, let me know otherwise0 -
Thanks guys, yes that 'without admitting liability' part did make me laugh a bit.....insurers have a way of doing things I gather :-)
The bike is still running but probably not road worth I guess, will certainly fail MOT if I take it there now as the right hand side indicators are broken, probably damage to front suspension or something messed up with frame or wheel alignment as when I try turning right the bike wants to go down and kiss the road, so right now I'm just squaring off the corners/turnings to keep it upright and being super extra cautious.
And thanks for the tip about claims management companies, never had to deal with them before, will start looking into this tonight.....I've now really spent several hours on this issue, so I do hope they pay up for all this inconvenience especially since their driver took off from the scene without leaving his details which caused most of the hassle and right now it appears that 3663 are trying to protect his identity by being ackward to me and not giving his details. I wonder since I have the reg of the truck now I should visit the police again and pass the new details so they can look into this a bit more seriously.0 -
Paul Knight MD OF 3663, look him up on LinkedIn and email along with the link to YouTube and I would guess it would be sorted PDQ.0

Good luck, a few pointers:
Hound them and get publicity as this will make them pull their fingers out!
If all else fails perhaps gather a few fellow supporters with their vehicles and make your way to their Battersea depot (78 Silverthorne Road Battersea London SW8 3HJ) and perhaps make it a little difficult for the lorries to exit the depot, as soon as their deliveries are affected I can assure you they will push the insurers for a speedy resolution!
If this fails then make your way to the super depot at Paddock Wood, Kent and repeat. This is where the regional directors are based and they will not want to be embarassed!
Email the senior management and push for assistance as they will not want the contact and actually can make things happen if they choose to:

The bulk (if not all of them) have reversing cameras fitted and in defence of the driver you have to ask if they were simply under pressure and had been given excessive deliveries to make (whilst this does not excuse driving off and failing to report this has to be considered as a reason for loss of focus, there is a minor possibility that the driver genuinely did not notice as the lorries do contain cages that bang about and the refrigeration untis / freezer are extremely noisy?)
Anyway, hound them and get in front of the main management and consider a visit to the depot with a few vehicles to cause them delay, this will get you a speedy resolution.
After all 3663 have a turnover in excess of £1 Billion so this will not sink them, it is you who is suffering the inconvenience!0 -
Thanks kiplings for the extensive set of information. I'll put that into good use, but hopefully not.
Have sent the information requested by insurers today such as repair quotes, witness statements etc....lets see what they come back with during next week. If they delay further beyond next week then I shall start escalating this issue on all possible tangents. Just took stock today and I've spent over 6hrs dealing with the insurers/police/witnesses/workshop/email/phonecalls etc....it's just racking up crazy. And finally got the name of the truck driver now, but again that fleet manager is stalling me by not giving out the contact details of the driver - what good is just a name when it comes to insurance. It frustrates when people play games like this, just taking the mickey out and for what ?..... I just hope the insurers get this done with soon so I move on to normal things back again.0
