In fact I am amazed that they have not offered to sort out this mess straight away. If they are aware that the video is on Youtube.

Any business with any sense would do the following.

    1. Say Sorry, 1-5 min. (It's clearly their drivers fault)
    2. Find the driver, 1-5 min. (It's clearly their drivers fault)
    3. Fix the bike, 24 hours. (It's clearly their drivers fault)
    4. Sack the driver, 24 hours. (It's clearly their drivers fault)
    5. Then mess about with insurance, later (It's clearly their drivers fault)

    You have no bike.
    You have no transport.
    Its not your fault

    It's clearly their drivers fault

You are so so right and you would think any decent company would so this, unfortunately I suspect this will be the last thing that will happen and the OP will have to go through a huge amount of hassle and will never get compensated for the time taken to deal with this and the general grief.

That was bang on right Mcjordi - spoke to their fleet manager today and he confirmed the reg SN08 CGV was correct and he has a name for the driver, but he is yet to complete investigation so cant give his details out, he is going to mail me those when he is done with his side of things later on. Making progress thanks to MSE forum members. :T:T:T

  • Nothing much really, the fleet manager has not returned the call with the drivers identity, tried calling him again yesterday but he is not answering. Although got a letter from 3663's insurers - they stated without admitting liability at this point, they want me to get a repair quote from a service centre stating how much it will cost to repair etc and then they will decide either to get it repaired by their approved repair centre or other options such as paying me to get it repaired or writing off the vehicle if it's all too expensive to repair it........:-), just as expected this is looking like it's going to be a long protracted process which will stretch well into the summer !!

Remember to make a claim for your uninsured losses - your bike is presumably off the road, causing you to have to other travel expenses, there must be all sorts of other out of pocket expenses. In equity you also ought to be able to claim something for your time, but I know from experience you will get nowhere.
