I'm quite lucky because my BF father buys the Beef/Pork/Chicken/Lamb for our sunday roast, so that helps us stay in budget. All we have to do is supply him with a meal on a sunday!:D

Our menu for this week is:

Sun....Lamb, pots, cauli, broc, carrots and gravy.
Mon....Fish, Chips and peas. The fish is Basa that I bought
on offer at Mr.M. 2 peices for 19p!
Tues...Lamb biriani, thai fishcakes(I want to use them up)
Wed....Steak pie, Pots, peas and carrots
    Thur....Lasagne, HM garlic bread
Fri......Whatever Mr.M has when I go on my, frugal, 'closing time' run!
    Will let you know!:rotfl:
    Sat.....Pasta bake.

I only spent £10.43 for groceries last week, and that included a bottle on wine that I could have done without. The pizza was also a comfort thing!

  • Hello everyone,

After my little spend last week, this week I have spent £32.93, split between Somerfield and Asda.Stocked up on some BOGOF offers, own brands and reduced items.

Bought flour, yeast and milk powder,my breadmaker is coming out of hiding from the cupboard and later this afternoon we will have home made bread, first time in ages.:j

From reading the posts everyone else is also doing well.:j

  • Hi guys,

have updated sig but forgot to post, spent another £4.78, on a few bits for lasagne, juice and milk.

made my lasagne. yum. and cut it into 8 portions and put it in freezer, so now have 7 more portions to use up over rest of the month.

I didnt used to see the point in cooking when there is only me, but have started making big portions and freezing meals. my friends laugh when i say im taking out my little one person portion of lasagne/ curry/ soup etc. but really i think they are Jealous!!!! that i'm having very yummy HM meals and cos they see how organised i now am with my money and various budgets.

Saying that i do keep recommending this site cos i think all the advice and ideas and people on here are amazing and an inspiration.

  • I spent a total of £16.17 the past few days in various places. My work took me past the co-op and they had ready brek (DH loves it) reduced from £1.87 to £1 a box, needless to say I bought 8 boxes:whistle: I just hope DH never goes off it! They never had the bogof on the marg though, sold out so I must try to get an excuse to go past another day!
I've a lovely piece of pork roasting in the oven just now so I'd better go and do some veggies. I think pork stirfry tommorrow sounds good with some of the leftovers, and curry on Tue with the rest. Where would we be without leftovers?
