  • Well have spent £45 this first week of February - so a bit of an improvement on last month. However, I did have loads of stuff in the freezer and cupboards.
Cruiksl you can feed your family through a long siege with all the stuff in your freezer!! :rotfl: I don't think you'll have any problem meeting your target!

Was a bit naughty going for a leaving lunch at work today and spent £20. Contemplating adding it to the grocery budget to make myself a bit more disciplined.....

As predicted earlier in the week, a £3.97 spend for me today on nappies (I buy Asda's own now we only use one at night).

Can someone direct me to the recipes please as I can't find them.

Go to the resource bar at the top. Underneath there is an entry that says Indexed collections. If you click on that the recipes are in there.

over the last week i have made -
    Apple Braid x 2
Soft Rolls x 28 some are now in the freezer.
Iced Buns plain and with custard inside
    Scones

Bebee - could you please post the recipe for the Iced Buns, Scones and the rolls (as well as the method for making them all). I have just started making bread (by hand) and would like to try making scones, rolls and buns but not sure how different it is from bread. I was going to try making the rolls and using the exact same recipe and method as the bread but instead of making a loaf shape roll out some "ball" shapes but didnt think this would work!?!?

My bin also sees a lot more of the fruit & veg than we did. I didnt think about the shed for storage (am thinking mainly potatoes as I cant seem to make mine last longer than a week). Thanks for the tip!
