Hi everyone!
Didn't quite get round to posting my January total but for the record my budget was £160 and I spent £215.45. However, in my defence, I did stock up on lots of essentials that were on offer, as FFM for one can testify, so I will be able to do much better over the coming months (did that sound confident??)
So I'm still sticking to my £160 budget and will see if I can actually achieve it this time. If anyone runs out of anything, feel free to pop round mine as I'm bound to have about 8 of them

I did some major shopping today, I normally stock up a bit at the start of the month. I managed to go shopping without the kids though which made a major difference as I was able to concentrate comparing prices:j . I never bought any meat as we have some in the freezer which I am going to use up first, but I did buy loads of cereal as there were some offers to be had. I was £32.50 in Lidl and £33.12 in the big A. Both of these totals included some easter eggs as we give to our kids, nieces, nephews and one friends kids. We also have an egg hunt either in the garden or house(yep they still believe in the Easter bunny)so I started stocking up as they had some good prices.
My big bargain for all the bakers was at the big A, thier own make chocolate cake covering was rolled back from 59p to 20p. I did get some strange looks when I bought 10 slabs, but the school spring fair is soon and I always get asked to bake. So my total spend today is £65.62:eek:Grippy is my middle name!0 -
Hi All
Well went to Tesco & Asda today and spent £53.85 & £24.36 respectively. So a grand total of £78.21 for this week!!!! I am so shocked still have £11.79 of my £90 per week budget left and have done whole weeks shopping.
It just shows how much crap I must have been buying for it to total £130 - £140 per week.
So now feel great and have more money to add to my pay off early pot! :j
Hope everyone else is doing as well and keeping within their budgets. All I want is an opportunity to prove that money doesn't buy happiness

Morning all, found you at last! Just couldnt find the thread & had a no spend week except for a load of bread!! Have been slightly confused as I get paid on 20th but ran this from 1-1 which meant the GB said I had dosh but bank account at the "end" of my month was a different matter!! Good on shopping less though!! Will have a think on this!
I'm going for £170 as I wasnt it to feel doable! I went over last month after deciding to buy organic meat etc which is definately more expensive! So for me, 3 cats & organic anything that involves animals (ie milk, cheese, yogs) but whatever for the rest! Hope thats OK? Will try & cut down next month but want to feel I achieved it this month cos I failed last one by £20 but wine may have had something to do with that!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! sent hubby out to farmers market already! He got out £50 so whatevers left will last the rest of next week.
He got 2 joints, cheese and 6 eggs (other egg seller was snowed in!) so got £15 left which is fine as I have spent a lot of my budget but have loads of food in including milk in the freezer and I make my own bread. Plenty of veg too.Save £12k in 2012 no.49 £10,250/£12,000
