But I thought things such as post code (yours will be more expensive than mine), what breed they are or moggy (mine will be more than yours), how old the cats are (bit of a mix for you) etc determined the actual cost of the cover, not the excess? Mind you, I could be wrong.. I'm in no way an expert on these things :rotfl:
ETA: Mine are on the £7k per year plan, too0 -
Excess too as "vets in London are more expensive" - sighhh0

So they all insured with PP from today, fiorst month free and then...... 100.06 per month for 5 cats: Teddy, Fred, Macius, Fiona and Phoebe. Fiona and Phoebe are my daughter's cats but we insure all together......
Ok, so just dreading now Zara's insurance hike with Argos... in October.....
Not trying to harp on (honestly) - this is the reasons I don't like other insurance companies ..... at least with PP, you know they won't put up the premium, simply because you've had a claim / got an ongoing condition.
If you look at the Ar*gos renewals - the boys (excl George) were going up by over 70% (which is bad enough IMHO:eek:) but George was going up by over 100% .... what was the justification for an extra 35%+ for him? (apart from the fact you've made a big claim).Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250
£1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000

Changed to Argos from Saga in February 2011 due to ever increasing premiums for Molly our 9 year old Golden Retriever. Argos offered same "for life" cover for £33 a month including cover for existing ailments so we changed from Saga to Argos. Twelve months later Argos increased premium by 80% to £60 a month knowing full well we could not get the same cover for Molly elsewhere. After a number of calls and letters the increase was blamed entirely on the fact that Argos had changed underwriters to Royal and Sun Alliance. Wrote to Financial Omdudsman Service but they are unable to help. What is stopping Argos increasing premiums next year by another 100%? Answer - NOTHING! Now waiting for Watchdog to take up the fight for Pensioners and the low paid who are being robbed just because they love their pets but not holding my breath.0
