2016 Sell: £125/£250
£1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000

Done a quote with PetPl;an for all 5 cats that CAN be moved over:
Fiona
Phoebe
Macius
Fred
Teddy
The total for those 5 came up to 88.32 (Macius was not included in calculations above with Argos as his reneval is not due yes, he is about a tennber with Argos now)
Now, can not move George so would have to add his Argos one at 23.21
So just thr cats 111.53
|Zara's one is around 47 now, I am sure reneval time it will be a 100 or close....0 -

Blimey, those are scarey price hikes.
Did you check the Pets at Home policies? Even those have gone up it seems, I did a check when I first saw it a few months ago and it was cheaper than Argos for similar cover. Now it has evened out with Argos.0 -
What about going through Quidco? Petplan are offering 10% discount, Argos £35 cash back and Morethan £60 cashback!0

Very tired today, can nto think straigh - just done sme online quotes and everyone comes with a very similar price - complete utter nightmare to be honest.
Never used Quido, no idea how to do it via them.. If I decide to switch to Petplan will ask someone to tell me how...
Really not sure as their excess scares me.. 105 excess is very high....0 -
Just done a quick quote at JOhn Lewis for Teddy alone for 7k per year lifetime and depending on excess choosen.. with £50 excess came at 19.92, with 25 excess 20.23 and with 75 excess 19.60
IThere does not seem to be an option to get quotes for more than one pet at a time at John Lewis website and too tired to do them one by one now so.. will chaeck later0 -
Interesting thread. I have platinum with argos but not renewing till october. Currently paying just under £9 but my little one only just over a year old.
Sounds like it will be a fun packed evening soon of checking every provider to see who's cheapest. Keep us posted please on how you get on.
Will not bother with morethan - their excess is shocking. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.
If you quote me, don't forget the capital 'M'

MOney Maker - I have 6 cats and a dog with them on Platinum cover.
5 cats reneval was due in June and as you have seen in the thread the increase is masive.
Fred, Fiona, Phoebe and George are all under 2 years old, from them only George had claims.
Teddy is 6 years old, never any claims.
Maius, my babay cat is 8 months old, I cant remember when his reneval is due but have a feeling in NOvember as I insured him at 8 weeks, again never any claims so will see.
Zara, my 5 years 6 months GS will be 6 yo at the point of reneval (October), at the moment I am paying 47 per month (again, platinum cover as the rest) and just had a hip replacement on one leg (over 5500 claim) and previously xrays and some tests (ovet 1000 claim) so really dreading October too.0 -
Rising might be able to help with this - do PP guarantee to keep increases in premiums to rate of inflation or did I dream that?
If changing its worth also looking at the dental cover, most do trauma only but PP do cover for pretty much all dental work (as do Pet Protect, but highest cover is only 6k).NOT a NEWBIE!
