This is just a wee note to say hi! I have just looked through my cupboards and think I really should be joining in on this challenge... I am going to prepare a stash list and join next month. In the meantime I am looking to you all for inspiration!!

Welcome - this is a lovely thread - join us now - don't wait...

I am a bit bored of the no spending to be honest but I can't justify spending anything on toiletries at the mo with the exception of a bottle of hair conditioner as the bottle on the go is feeling very light and I don't have any more stashed. Have to remind myself that I overspent last month hence the frugal month this month. If I don't remind myself MrM certainly will.

Don't weaken now - only 7 days/sleeps to go until we hit July.

Wish me luck on my journey:)

Good luck Maddiemay - I know what you mean about skin changing - I look at things now and think - why did I want a cupboard full of that. Also, hope you are feeling better now.:grouphug:.

2 more UUs for me to declare as well - this is turning into a bonanza month for me:

Laura Geller i-care (bone) - no need to BA as have another in my stash. Also have a lovely Givenchy one to try but have been good and have moved on to the LG one first as it has been in the cupboard longer. Use this on the corners of my eyes and I think it does brighten them altho I remain dubious as to whether anyone else would notice if I stopped using it..

Liz Earle botanical shine shampoo - this was a 50ml size. Not a HG product but does an ok job. Wouldn't buy again on it's own. Still looking for HG shampoo.

    Have a great weekend everyone.

Pleased you had a good time at your ball, weird about the toe nails though.

Physically I am no different, but the new hair style and making more effort with makeup (even if no one but OH sees - and he doesn't notice) has given me a boost. This morning I have been playing around trying foundation samples and making up my eyes, pleased with the effect, so need to keep motivated. One of my neighbours is 84 and you never see her without makeup or immaculate hair (and not ott either). Now I need to try and shift the 7lbs in weight, it does not sound much, but I am only 5' 3" and look decidedly lumpy around the middle, not to mention the melons!:rotfl:

    I have ins

Freebie ins - L'Oreal Everpure shampoo & conditioner sachets both 10ml

Bought for 10p from Superdrug SPA mini Duo gift set containing 50ml shower gel and 50ml body lotion - I thought these would be good for holidays, and don't think I need to go to the naughty step as only spent 10p, plus was very good and only bought one set.

Fiasco...what about using your tweezers to dip a cotton bud in the bottle? Xx

I have tried this but the cotton bud it too thick as the neck of the container is very slim. - The wand is exceptionallt thin with a small brush head on it. - much thinner than a normal lip brush.

Not sure if this would help, but I have a few of those wooden sticks you get for stirring your coffee at takeaways. I use them to get to the bottom of bottles, pumps and for dibbing my expensive moisturiser so I don't use too much and contaminate by sticking finger in! Is there one of those push in grommet things at the end of the tube, if so you might be able to use a knife or screwdriver to flick it out then you can get at the product.

Again the neck is too thin to get a wooden stirrer in.

I am now thinking this is deliberate - to get you to buy again very quicky. Funny enough it is having the opposite effect.

I have about 5 bottles of L'oreal gentle eye make up remover in the stash but now I wear eyeshadow and gel eyeliner everyday it just isn't doing the job. I wipe over my eye and my makeup is still perfect. What on earth am I going to do with them? Has anyone else found this?

Yeah I have found this too particularly in trying to remove my eye shadow. I would still have a glissening eyeshadow film left. - I have two in my stash still to use.

UU - No7 Quick Thinking facial wipes - WBA only when I have skinny as they are outragously priced for what they are otherwise.

I've been thinking about trying this (when I've finished a few body sprays and samples!) as I've started using my Marc Jacobs daisy under PRCP and quite like it. I know it's sold in boots but will need to look for it next time. Purely for research purposes of course!

Been to Boots today and noticed that they are doing £5 no7 vouchers again, the last lot only finished mid month. You would think no one would buy at full price anymore but I saw a woman buying 2 no7 body products and some reduced priced items (yes I am extremely nosy) and the SA said the no7 was 3 for 2 and if they did the other things first she would have a £5 off voucher too. She seemed undecided what to do for some reason.

By the way this wasn't today it was when the last lot of vouchers were on. Anyhow I came out without buying anything, then I went into the independent department store in town and they had the clarins beach bag offer on that I got a while ago. I left the store with NO purchases. DD wanted to look in Body shop at the sale, and again I left with NO purchases.

Alas I fell at the last hurdle, Superdrug, Barry M had a free nail polish when you spend £6, I got two gorgeous eyeshadows and a lovely pillar box red polish. Oh well, it was close but at least I didn't leave body shop with 8 shower gels to add to the 60 I already own.:rotfl:

English Daisy was 1/3rd off in Boots on Thursday. I was tempted ;)

I was given a no 7 voucher as well. I think they're valid until July 15th (I saved mine for later as I didn't want to spend any more money).

Dolly - well done for all the things that you *did* resist!
  • I think it's slightly cheaper on evilbay hehe, but I highly recommend English Daisy and royal diamond. It's cheap and I keep it at work and like to spray myself and my office (as it's right next to the toilets lololol)

Just a flying visit to announce 2 outs:
SBC arnica bath soak- WNBA as it's quite expensive and I find the gel works a lot better.

The sanctuary bubble bath- WBA because it was lovely and bubbly!

    Hope you're all ok!
