As predicted the open lip balms weren't doing anything for my lips as they are now covered in flaky dry skin. I think its only been a week since I uu my good one as well. Anyway went in the stash and got a Cherry ChapStick out, hoping this will sort it out (they feel better already). I will try and use the others as well to try and use them up.

I am back in after a trip to HB and have some INs to report.
    • Batiste dry shampoo (needed a replacement)
    • Wella High Hair Peppermint Pep paste (only £1.99)
    • Wella High Hair Ocean Spray Beach Look (only £1.99)
    • Olay face wipes (for £1 worth a punt)
I have been wanting to try the Wella stuff for a bit but have been refusing to pay the £10 price tag.

They also had a box of Olay Regenerist derma pods for £4.99 instead of £23.99. Never tried them but it seemed a great price - anyone used them before?

UU TBS seaweed pore perfector WMBA this did do a good job of making my pores look better and was also a good base/primer.

Fiasco I have used the Olay eye pods and they are really good, instantly lift and firm. I usually get a couple of days worth out of one pod.

I have been for afternoon tea and still feel stuffed! It was lovely though :-)

  • evening ladies,

uu Percy & Reed moisture shampoo, a magazine freebie from a few months ago- Loved this and just wish it wasn't so expensive, it smells gorgeous, and leaves my hair really shiney and soft, would definitely buy it again if I saw it on offer

also an out - elemis neck and bust cream- a recent gwp, absolutely loathed this, it felt really sticky and uncomfortable, I know I'll never use this as I hate stickiness so in the bin it goes.

hugs to those that need them

    happy pampering, xo

I don't count nail polish either, it is my colourful treat, some months I buy several, other months none, it just depends what "speaks to me". Well done with the bath, hair and skincare, I have a way to go. Although I think I am going to cull things that I don't think work for me now. To me that has been the real downside of owning too much stuff, my skin has changed and my preferences too. For the future I envisage having a couple of things (HG's) in use and never more than one back up. I also intend buying trial sizes from beauty boxes etc to try new products and not full sizes. Wish me luck on my journey:)

I don't count nail lacquers either maddiemay. Got my eye on the OPI Minnie Mouse colours for Emma and I like the look of most of the new OPI A/W 2012 colours due out in September/October. Have you had the newsletter from Boots with the voucher for 2 x Essie colours for £12.00. I had left my newsletter in the hall unopened. Emma opened it yesterday and brought this to my attention and now it's nagging at me!!

Good luck on your journey. I'd say I'm practically there re: skincare. It's keeping shower gels/lotions to a minimum that I find hard.
Welcome - this is a lovely thread - join us now - don't wait...

Don't weaken now - only 7 days/sleeps to go until we hit July.

Good luck Maddiemay - I know what you mean about skin changing - I look at things now and think - why did I want a cupboard full of that. Also, hope you are feeling better now.:grouphug:.

2 more UUs for me to declare as well - this is turning into a bonanza month for me:

Laura Geller i-care (bone) - no need to BA as have another in my stash. Also have a lovely Givenchy one to try but have been good and have moved on to the LG one first as it has been in the cupboard longer. Use this on the corners of my eyes and I think it does brighten them altho I remain dubious as to whether anyone else would notice if I stopped using it..

Liz Earle botanical shine shampoo - this was a 50ml size. Not a HG product but does an ok job. Wouldn't buy again on it's own. Still looking for HG shampoo.

    Have a great weekend everyone.

Yes, Ilovecakes no time like the present to join.

I know I only have to get through this week. It's all up the air as the mo as to whether we go to Cheshire Oaks or not as there was a rumour yesterday that the festival in Blackpool would be cancelled due to the bad weather and if it is MrM said we would go to CO today. It's pouring down already here. Oh dear.

I have the Laura Geller bone eyeliner though I always forget to use it. Can't say I can tell any difference when I do.

I think my HG shampoo (though not SLS free I'm sure) is the V05 Give me Moisture one. Both Emma and I love it. MrM has no hair so doesn't bother with shampoo. Have just UUed another of the large sized bottles of this. It only lasted us a few weeks though as I bought 2 at the beginning of the month and this is the second. Only gonna be :money: whilst it's on BOGOF.

Had another 2 x UUs yesterday and one IN (not unnecessary).

    UUs:-

Elemis Tri-Enzyme cleanser. WNBA. Got great results but did not like the soapy feel. Much prefer the Lime Blossom Balancing Cleanser which I'm moving onto next.

59ml Laura Geller Spackle. WBA and have another in stash however the new one that I've opened is the Champagne version and I think I prefer this more. On one application my skin looked brighter with this one so will buy again but probably in this formula.

    IN:-

    V05 Give me Moisture conditioner.

Have repainted my fingernails today and am wearing Revlon Stormy. Quite appropriate don't you think?
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I'm afraid I bought the new LIB box I really love trying new skincare items and it is an area where I'm still looking for HG. I am going to call this my treat for doing so well this month which means no purchases in July allowed.
