Willowbee that's really dreadful. Love the nails by the way.
Thank youI'm more astonished than cross today...
Here is a nice (random) blog post that shows the Ibiza Mix nail varnish well. I think it's lovely & cheering! (I've layered it over a dark purple grey colour - the same colour as they sky here :rotfl:)

Really nice, I've got a Jessica Gel Colours dark pink glitter one on at the moment, getting them done again next week and thinking of going for the blue glitter one next. They also have on that's similar to your Ibiza mix that would go over another colour, tempted to get that one now.0 -
I've been browsing the internet (not buying) i saw this and quite fancied it till I saw the price http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_123555136299_-1?breadcrumb=Home%7EBeauty%7EAccessories
:eek::eek::eek::eek:I have been in a lot of pain over the last few weeks and have been feeling a bit unmotivated in life (chores, phone calls, e-mails, wearing make up etc), and it didn't help when OH told me (not in an unkind way) that the pain was showing in my face!
Well, the pain won't go away in the very near future, so decided to kick my self up the butt, so to speak. Yesterday I got my hair restyled from shoulder length long bob, into very sassy short one, the hairdresser was raving about the multitudes of shades of grey in my hair which makes it look if it has been well coloured:j and, now comes the really naught bit - I have some Lancombe foundation samples and a very swish eye palette in my possession. Not going to naughty step, haven't bought make up apart from mascara for years and needed something to encourage me to start wearing it again.
Last night went through Helmer and threw out old shadows and lippies and put some new gwp lippies which wouldn't suit me out in the CS bag. This had not better be the start of any make up splurges, I found about 10 good lippies (several new), loads of eyliner pencils (one of the cheap options when I was getting the nice EL and Clinique GWP sets), but soon I should only be left with colours that suit my current hair colouring and skin tone. Sorry about the epistle! Just nice to share with you lovely people here.
Short is the new black maddiemay- posting as someone who also had the big chop done too. It feels like a whole new you. Hope you get some effective pain relief as this kind of chronic pain conditions are so draining - I have a dodgy back so get long periods of pain too.

Oooh! A bit of glitter is very cheerful, I think
(I forgot to say earlier that I think that getting proper storage for make up is a good idea. It would definitely help me remember what I have if it was in a nice clear train case :rotfl:)0 -

I have an IN, I finally got round to buying the illamasqua neutral palette when my tax refund from 2010 finally showed up in the post yesterday :j
That is a beautiful palette. I was really tempted when I saw it reviewed but I must not buy any more eyeshadows as I have lots of palettes to use up

Thank you I think I'll buy it next month, at least makeup is small so it should all fit in, fingers crossed. Mind you I won't be trying to fit the open stuff in there.0 -
Thanks everyone for your thoughts and kind words
It was really hard getting up this morning and not having LC trying to help me get ready for work and the house seems really quiet
Trudij - Grape is gorgeous
To keep myself busy I've been going through my stash and I'm amazed at how many half used bottles i have .....of the same product:eek::eek::eek: sun cream, after sun and Avon dry oil spray being the main culprits...so now after much decanting I'm down to 1 bottle of after sun, 1 bottle of Avon dry oil spray and 2 sun creams. I'm rather pleased with my evenings work.
hey ho
Before I go can I give :grouphug: to those that need then as a few of our group seem to be in the wars x

Nothing basic about those brushes eh Suidreams?
Good wishes to Maddiemay. Taking positive steps is the right thing to do when you're not feeling great.
I've got 2 UUs. Quite excited that the splutterers are finished.
BS Shea body butter. WMBA, think it was a bit too rich. Made skin very soft but took too long to absorb! Nice smell, although I prefer citrus type smells for body lotions.
BS Shea shower cream. Nice, lasted well, but prefer bubbles and fresher smells for shower stuff. So probably WNBA.
Feeling quite narky recently. I don't think the weather is helping. Really ready for a holiday so it is fortuitous that I am on one next week. But only in this country, so no break from the grey skies! DH really cheered me up this week (not) by reading aloud from a met office website that announced that the jet stream had been moving north between 1979 and 2001 and that it was now moving south. Meaning that any nice summers I can remember were in fact an aberration and that we're half way through a 22 year cycle of heinous weather. Thanks a bunch, hubby!!!!0
