Willowbee well done for getting to Boots, even if it was a bit of a let down.

    Thank you :)

I'm paying for the trip out today but it was worth it :) It's good to know that I have a stock of chocolate and I'm in love with my new nail varnishes :D I was about to run out of contact lens solution so I was happy to get that on a special offer (and to get it before I ran out).

I have been in a lot of pain over the last few weeks and have been feeling a bit unmotivated in life (chores, phone calls, e-mails, wearing make up etc), and it didn't help when OH told me (not in an unkind way) that the pain was showing in my face!

Well, the pain won't go away in the very near future, so decided to kick my self up the butt, so to speak. Yesterday I got my hair restyled from shoulder length long bob, into very sassy short one, the hairdresser was raving about the multitudes of shades of grey in my hair which makes it look if it has been well coloured:j and, now comes the really naught bit - I have some Lancombe foundation samples and a very swish eye palette in my possession. Not going to naughty step, haven't bought make up apart from mascara for years and needed something to encourage me to start wearing it again.

Last night went through Helmer and threw out old shadows and lippies and put some new gwp lippies which wouldn't suit me out in the CS bag. This had not better be the start of any make up splurges, I found about 10 good lippies (several new), loads of eyliner pencils (one of the cheap options when I was getting the nice EL and Clinique GWP sets), but soon I should only be left with colours that suit my current hair colouring and skin tone. Sorry about the epistle! Just nice to share with you lovely people here.

(((((Maddiemay))))) I'm so sorry that you've been in such pain. It makes everything much more difficult and the feeling that you can't even settle/rest comfortably is really waring. :(

It sounds like your treats were exactly what you needed and your haircut sounds fab :) I think that the right make up can do wonders to boost your mood/sense of self (I know that it helps me, anyhow). It's worth the time and effort to find the right products - Suidreams has been very good at this :) I hope that you enjoy your swish new eyeshadows :j

    Bunnykins - Hugs to you.

I haven't graduated on the makeup front though, I have so much stuff to use up! So I'll still be hanging around to keep myself in check!

I phoned Selfridges customer service early on Monday afternoon and haven't heard anything since. So much for sending a replacement quickly/keeping me up-to-date with progress - I've just found out that they have done nothing about it, so add rubbish customer service to the EWWWWWWWWWWWW! of this disgusting thing (difficult to photograph the actual product but it is gouged, full of fingerprints, cracked with age and goes off in less that 2 weeks!)

I have won some facial wipes :D

Night cream sample for me too, thanks for the link :D

Sorry to hear about Lucy cat bunnykins :(

Grape looks lovely trudij. I think a horse stash will take up more space than toiletries though (not to mention the cost ) They have put 2 mares with foals in the field beside where I work and they are so cute with their gangly legs. I would make more excuses to go outside if it wasn't raining so much!

I have one in today from Avon, nail varnish in Lemon Sugar, which is a pastelly yellow. I stuck it on my left hand straight away when I got in from work and its a bit streaky with 2 coats but I don't have a base coat on so that might be why. I should probably take it off or at least paint the other hand to balance it out!

    Stay dry everyone
