No Buying Unnecessary toiletries in June

Hi kiplingmonkey. If it was me I think I'd hang onto the Halo until you have a tan and see how it fairs then. Have you got any holidays planned? It's looking like Summer here is questionable yet again!
If anyone is interested in Elemis body care though there is another TSV coming up on QVC on 1 July - it's actually a repeat of the last TSV. Not that I'm encouraging. Apparently on that date they are having more than one TSV and OPI has been mentioned. I need to make sure I'm out all that day!
I'm surprised at this. I've never tried the Bonn Mere soaps but the regular ones never split, crack or break up for me.
I use the original Halo too Kiplingmonkey, and was wondering what I will do, I use Light, and coz I am not near shops that stock it, I bought various little pots of mineral makeup from *bay until I found "the" colour. I have a LG B&B in Medium which I find too dark, but will try again now Summer is here:rotfl:
ValM I read about the Elemis TSV too, bought it last year and gave away the bodycare elements for Christmas pressies, tempted very much, but will have my Night Indulgence Collection, which has been on back order to pay for next week. (Night Cream for me, rest for a burfday pressie in July) I have a 3 EP code, effective until next Saturday too, which is it to be, beauty, nail polish, plants for garden, or just delete the e-mail????:money:
Bright and sunnyish here, forecast light cloud, sending Mr MM out cycling as rain forecast for next 10 days, have had hardly anytime on my own in the last fortnight! The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Been AWOL for a week as my mam's been staying with me in London - still managed some UUs though:
Lush Gavernie Soap - WBA - lovely fresh smell.
Lush Sparkle Toothy Tabs - might buy again - think there are others I prefer though
The Body Shop Vitamin C Radiance Mix - WNBA - didn't seem to do anything for my skin.
Nivea Lip Balm - a GA to my mam as she had forgotten hers.

Another UU: TBS DeoDry Cool & Zesty Stick.
WIBA? Probably not, which is a pity as I quite like it, but looking at it practically I bought it when they first came out as it doesn't contain any aluminium salts (or parabens) and I've heard bad things about having them in deodorants. I bought it on an introductary offer of £3, which was half price at the time, although I still consider that expensive for a deodorant, TBH. I think it is cheaper now as I looked on the TBS website and it was £1.50 with the 40% that was off the last time I was on the site, and I really like the smell - it's the only female deodorant I've ever come across that smells zesty, but it's not strong enough for me to use for going to work at my hot workplace. It also goes on very smoothly.
Overall, it's a pity it's not that bit stronger. Please call me 'Pickle'

Just back from a nice week in Devon visiting my mum, UU a few hotel freebies we have...decided to just keep the nice ones we have for guest toiletries. I would have come back with an almost full bottle of snow fairy that made mum itch but forgot it so that might make it make in the next few weeks:) Had a browse through my stash this morning, threw out a half used glittery chocolate moisturiser that looked a bit mouldy:eek: glad I checked before I used it! Looking through my stash I have a few fake tan moisturisers, bath bombs and soaps to go and pretty much everything else is in use except a bottle of snow fairy. Phew I might actually graduate sometime soon:jAlthough I am planning on buying some things when I can actually bring myself to get on with it!Debt free and busy treating myself:)
No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales0 -

I love zesty smells too, might look for this sometime. When the weather is warmer :rotfl:I found I needed to switch to an anti-perspirant/deodorant, especially now I am doing a lot of gardening. I do only use it when it is very hot, my Jason Lavender stick deodorant does the job the rest of the time. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Have you got any holidays planned?
Yay you re: the Emma Hardie TSV. It's day 10 and I have still spent nothing.
I'm surprised at this. I've never tried the Bonn Mere soaps but the regular ones never split, crack or break up for me.
We are off to Normandy in August which is why I did the Ultrasun TSV last time although I notice they have another TSV in July - not looking like I will be using up what I bought last time anytime soon! Although, wait a minute, there is a strange yellow thing in the sky at the moment and the sky is no longer in monochrome - blimey it's almost, dare I say it, blue....
Yay you on 10 days :j - I have put £5 in my SPC rather than do the L'Occ TSV so yay me too! :j
I have used the Bonne Mere soaps and they have been ok for me and lasted well so perhaps you were just unlucky Itzybitzy.I use the original Halo too Kiplingmonkey, and was wondering what I will do, I use Light, and coz I am not near shops that stock it, I bought various little pots of mineral makeup from *bay until I found "the" colour. I use the LG BnB in fair and find that much better than the medium - medium was way too dark for me. I would steer away from the Halo as the new "improved" version is awful on me.
Sorry for the long post but I also have 2 more UUs to declare:
Liz Earle skin repair dry (50ml) - WBA although not at the moment as I am embarrassed to admit to still having (ahem) 6 in my stash. Still that is far less than at the beginning of the challenge. I use this on my neck as my neck cream and it really does work well.
Virgin Vie One Step Face Base - ivory - can no longer buy again as the company is in administration.I liked this as a quick foundation as it came in a compact with a sponge and was really easy to apply. If anyone can suggest any alternatives I would be really grateful as I tended to use this on holiday as a quick make up which was quite compact for travelling.

Dry and sunny here today, so have got some of our sodden camping equipment out to dry on the decking, just the massive tent to get out but need a better day for that really.
Maybelline and Body shop both do these cream to powder foundations you apply straight from the compact with a sponge, I have used the maybelline one and it was fine.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Thanks And, dolly84 & Becky 2.
:T Well done kiplingmoney for resisting the QVC waitlist!
Becky - I hope you had a nice holiday.
VALM - Fluffy Towels does sound lovely. I really like the names they give to the candles. I didn't know that you would get that long out of the big jars. When you look at it that way, it does seem like a good investment. I while back I managed to pick up some yankie tarts and small candles in home bargains for 39p each. I have loved using them and only have a few left - like beach towel, fresh eucalyptus and crisp linen.seasideDreamer wrote: »Just back from a nice week in Devon visiting my mum, UU a few hotel freebies we have...decided to just keep the nice ones we have for guest toiletries. Only 1 UU to report:
No7 P & P Hand Cream 45mls. Got this in a Jan Sale box set and have another 3 in the stash. WMBA as it does the job. I don't know the actual price of it so knowing the No7 P & P range I reckon it would be too expensive for what it does. I do like the size of it for traveling.
