Hi All. Have returned from a wet camping trip, really cold at times but we still had a good time.

Have managed to catch up, you have been a chatty lot.

Willowbee - hope your nan recovers soon.
McCulloch - why do some people refer to you as AND??

Re the Red freebies, I live in the north of England and for ages we haven't had any freebies with Red which is really annoying.

Couldn't believe that it cost £2.20 to post a tiny tube of That Gal, no wonder the ebayer got it wrong.

I have one uu to report, my Hemp Foot Protector, really sorry to see this go, it was really pleasant to use and I am watching for a half price offer again. Onto an N'spa foot butter now which is really just a cream (I wonder when the beauty industry will tire of putting butter in the name of everything).

    I also have ins

No7 nail polish in Perfectly something?? pale peachy colour, very neutral. Used a voucher for this so good value.

No7 Stay perfect eye trio in smoky mint - I love these eyeshadows, no creasing and last a good 10 hours with a primer, again I used a voucher.

Revlon Lip Butter in creme brulee, is a bit darker than expected, have wanted to try one for a while so I took advantage of the offer on at the moment.

Body Shop shimmer cube in Browns, black liquid eyeliner, big & curvy mascara and an eyeshadow brush, this all came in a set for £20 and I had been after the shimmer cube for a while and as these are £16 it seemed good value. I also got DH some bits for Fathers day that the kids picked for him and used my £10 off £25 spend (I knew I would end up using this).

So all in all an epic fail for this month:(

Fiasco - hope you are getting your place back in order, what a horrible thing to happen.

I feel a bit shy about this, but here is a link to my OH speaking very, very quickly about one of my favourite pieces that he has made (I won't put his name as I'd feel v weird about this coming up in a Google search!):

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mr5WCSziG28

He wanted me to go to Hay with him but I just wasn't up to it :( I'd love to go, maybe when it isn't the festival (I love books at least as much as I love toiletries! :rotfl:)

Wow Willowbee - that is amazing - I had no idea it was knitted until the video zoomed in - to get that amount of detail and colour is fantastic. I knit (not on that scale! - more like scarves and cushion covers) so was v interested to see how it had been created.

Am toying with binning some Smashbox halo powder - I loved this and bought another pot only to find they had changed the formula - it is now much darker and it makes me go orange if I apply enough to cover my red cheeks. Don't know whether to bite the bullet and bin it or wait until we have some sunshine and see if it looks ok with a bit of a tan.

Oh, and I hope you will be proud if me - last month I ordered the Emma Hardie TSV. Anyway, it got lost in transit so the Q phoned today to say they could refund me and then put me on waitlist (at the TSV price) to see if any more came back into stock. Well, I thought about this and then opted for money back and declined the Waitlist option. Yay me :j- would never have done this pre-challenge!

Willowbee, I am thinking of and your nan. Hopefully you will find her a nursing home soon.

Fiasco 55, I hope your insurance company can sort out your flat soon. How awful to come home from a holiday to that situation.

Rosemary 54, I am sorry to hear what happend to your mum. Its shouldn't be allowed to happen.

I am back from my holiday. Some UU's but cannot remember what it was. I have got 2 IN's from the holiday, 2 body lotions from hotels that I will use up as a hand cream.

Went to l'occitaine today and bought their Ultra rich face cream from the Shea butter range, this is a lovely night cream that I am currently using. I also bought a lavender hand cream. This was a planned purchase since I wanted their freebie from their new Angelica range (got a 50 ml cleansing gel and toner, 15 ml hydration cream and a sachet of exfoliating gel). I am not planning on buying anything else this month.
No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
    Boots points:£39.21. Extra money in 2012:£674.59. In 2013 £603.48. 2014: £85. 2015: £0 :j
  • Hello ladies -

I'm not trying to be rude, but I am actually going to post this and have to run out again, so sorry if I'm not commenting on some of the things that's going on.

UU's L'oreal preference hair moisturizer - it came with the hair dye. I absolutely loved it, and now my hair is shiny and blue black :)

Boots cotton balls - I need to get some more asap!

Estee Lauder - Time Zone cream - wnba I can safely say that I am not a fan of estee lauder skincare products. Way too thick for my liking, and the scent is a bit old fashion/traditional synthetic cosmetic smell that I don't care for either.

I have some full size splutterers, so wish me luck!

My box has Water Garden (x 2), Bahama Breeze (x 2), Beautiful Day (x 2), Ocean Blossom (x2), Beach Walk (x2), Garden Sweet Pea, Fruit Salad, Tutti Frutti, Tropical Fruit, Dune Grass, Midsummer's Night, Christmas Cookie and I've got a bit stuck with burning Island Guava (not that appealing). I gave away both of the Pink Sands (which I liked). It seemed to be quite a summer hols sort of box :) (I bought Midsummer's Night, Midnight Jasmine, Sweet Pea and Christmas Cookie as extras).

Some lovely fragrances there Willowbee though I think some have been discontinued - I definitely know Beautiful Day and Dune Grass have gone. Think that Bahama Breeze and Ocean Blossom have too. I really like Island Guava. Can't burn the fruity ones as MrM doesn't like them.

Another recommendation is Pink Lady Slipper. That's a lovely floral as are the White Gardenia, True Rose and Garden Hideaway.

That Clean Cotton is one of my favs. It just smells so fresh and lovely :D. How much burn time do you get out of the big jars?

You would probably like Fluffy Towels as well. It's a little zestier. Have had a look at the large jar candles and they burn for 110-150 hours. I burn mine for at least 3 hours (this is recommended so that you don't get tunnelling) but not every day. I've probably had this one for just over a month and it's only now getting down to it's last few burns.

Hi kiplingmonkey. If it was me I think I'd hang onto the Halo until you have a tan and see how it fairs then. Have you got any holidays planned? It's looking like Summer here is questionable yet again!

Yay you re: the Emma Hardie TSV. It's day 10 and I have still spent nothing. Pulled a bottle of Good Works Dry Skin Oil out of my stash yesterday. When I originally opened it I had used it on my face only but at the moment I'm using a Dove shower gel that is drying my skin out so have got it out to use on my body. My skin felt amazing last night after using it. It smells quite orangey so am going to see if it will go with the Philosophy Harvest Spice I've been using as well as I'm now out of sweet smelling lotions/butters.

Another UU: tube of Elemis foot cream. WNBA. Didn't actually buy anyway as it was GWP. Can't comment on it's effectiveness as I am really bad at looking after my feet and did not apply it regularly enough to notice any results. MrM used it but commented that he didn't like the cold feeling it gave his feet. I didn't like the smell. Smelt like Vicks and if I wanted this on my feet Vicks would be a cheaper alternative. I really like Elemis skincare but think they get the bodycare element very wrong.

If anyone is interested in Elemis body care though there is another TSV coming up on QVC on 1 July - it's actually a repeat of the last TSV. Not that I'm encouraging. Apparently on that date they are having more than one TSV and OPI has been mentioned. I need to make sure I'm out all that day!

I'm surprised at this. I've never tried the Bonn Mere soaps but the regular ones never split, crack or break up for me.
