PICKLE???: Soap and Glory and the Body Shop are both available in North America and the Body Shop has websites with lots of great offers.

It must cost you a fortune to mail lotions and potions over.

Have you thought about sending things that aren't available over here? M&S stuff, Barry M, Boots 17, anyh of the little lines of stuff?

Yes! Firstly, the first gift was for a friend who I know likes certain BS products, and since she is having a bit of a hard time, I though 'Stuff it - send the stuff anyway!'. The other friend, I don't really know what make up she wears/suits, so I thought the body products might be easier, albeit bigger and bulkier! Any ideas for small, amazing things that could be used by just about anyone would be gratefully appreciated!

A friend of mine sent a load of Lush stuff to a friend in the USA only to find that there is no shortage of Lush stores in the US! I think Boots sell their products in Target over there too. I don't think they can get Barry M as the USA beauty gurus do seem to get quite excited if they get sent any.

I didn't know all that. You are all - particularly you, Hermia - quite scarily informed!

This really made me laugh/smile :rotfl:

I'm in for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages as well!

Instead of panicking about my stash and how much I have to use, I'm focusing on enjoying it instead :) That is why I've opened two new things this week even though it will slow my my rate of using things up. I have to think tortoise not hare...:D

Good luck with your coursework :-)

Good advice, Willowbee...I'm normally the same and I really have used up oodles of stuff, but I just had a real good poke around in my stash drawer and I was amazed at how much was still hiding in there, scuttling behind other bottles and pots when the drawer opened and the light got in. I've created SO much space since I started that I really thought I was nearly there, and this just reinforced that I am not.

Still, it's good fun using up the products, and I can't BELIEVE how many moisturisers I had that I had not used! This challenge has definitely made me use up the things I have and appreciate them more, and most importantly make me readjust my previously ridiculously optimistic estimates regarding how long any one product lasts (Rule of thumb: times initial estimate by at least three)! :rotfl:

I have been very VERY bad. I really wanted three nail polishes from Nails Inc, but was a bit freaked out by the cost as the three cost £37 together. So, I went on the site and there were loads of special offers and I ended up with 16 polishes for £54! _pale_:naughty::embarasse:shocked:

well thats better than me Hermia - I bought a new horse today, where the flip am I supposed to hide that??!! :D

Seriously, trudij, if the toiletries have become such an issue that you need to buy a horse to disguise having to put them in a stable in order to store them, you really do have issues! :rotfl: ;)

(well I havent paid for her yet, but its all agreed over the phone and we have done a virtual handshake...)

That explains a lot. Extremely cool. In fact, colder than that....

    I have some uu's :

Elvive volume control mousse, this was a really good product, gave loads of bounce to my hair and didn't leave it feeling sticky, wba when I've finished the other two hair mousses in the stash
Elvive restore shampoo - loved this and will definitely buy again when I finish the other stuff lurking in the cupboard

Clarins multi-active day cream 30ml - this was a gwp forever ago, I like clarins skin care products and they do seem to work well with my skin, have a few others to get through first though

    T.A
Benefit playstick foundation in paper dolls - I had run out of my usual foundation and thought I'd resurrect this from the bottom of the make-up bag, I now know why I didn't finish it the first time round - it's a panstick and quite heavy, it's binned!

now it's confession time, I have an epic fail on the no buying front :o

I've been having trouble sleeping, or rather staying asleep, so I thought I would try elemis quiet mind pillow spray, but of course my buying didn't stop there - I tried the quiet mind temple balm in the store and it was instant love, that would have been fine but elemis have an offer on so also came home with the following freebies:

Elemis quiet mind bath elixir x2 (very nice SA gave me an extra one
Elemis pro collagen bust and neck serum
    Elemis tri-enzyme facial cleanser
    Elemis pro collagenquartz serum

I may also have bought the frangipani shower gel after the SA told me about the 10,000 points offer :o:o:o

I'm just going to whisper that I'm also waiting for this to be delivered

Hey everybody, hope fun was had over the Jubilee weekend by all. :) Back to earth with a bump though!

I have a question - My Nan died shortly before xmas in 2003 but being the organised person she was, she'd already bought all her presents, and mine was a bottle of Avon's Treselle perfume. I've been using it for special occasions down the years and still have a bit left in the bottle. Firstly - how do you know if a perfume has gone off? It still smells ok to me but it's quite a few years old now.

Secondly, once I'm done with the bottle, being the hoarder I am I'd like to keep it and possibly do something with it. Any ideas for possible uses of an old perfume bottle? My husband tells me I'm being silly and just to chuck it, but...:(

This is what the bottle looks like:

    Thanks guys :)

I have another 2 outs which means I have 'paid back' 7 items from my ridiculous 16 item Nails Inc haul.

Bliss High Intensity Hand Cream - would not buy this again. This is supposed to be for dry hands, but it makes the dry patches on my hands sting.

Vichy Aqualia Thermal moisturiser - I'm chucking this without finishing as it makes my face sting.

    How funny!

I've been meaning to say that when I sold things on eBay most of the bids came though at the last minute. (I'm a last moment bidder as well ;)) Do you have many people watching things?
