How do your body scrubs have probs? Have they gone off?
Val - I realised it was an odd thing to say that my body scrubs had probs :rotfl: I haven't got a huge stash of scrubs as I've always struggled to remember to use them. I'm sure that they would be good for my skin though so I'd like to get into the habit of using them (this challenge is partly about developing better self-care habits as well as everything else). Anyhow, I've had three scrubs in use for ages and I was trying to figure out why I wasn't using them. I have...
Urban Decay 'Joe Glow' - very old, not very nice but I'm about half way through this and I will UU
Balance Me peppermint scrub - smells gorgeous and I love Balance Me but the formula is really weird. (Deffo WNBA) It isn't very scrubby and doesn't really spread. I think it has too much shea butter in it (or something). It just kind of sticks to me in a clump! :rotfl:It's in a great big, awkward pot as well.
I was given a pot of Philosophy Senorita Magarita ages ago. Again, it smells fab (and I love the neon green colour) and it's the scrubbiest of the lot but I'm not using it because of the huge, open pot. I tried using it pre-shower (as you're meant to) but it was too harsh. Also, the oil in it makes the shower lethally slippery!
I will use all these up but I decided to open the Bliss one to try and see if I just don't get on with scrubs and/or what the barriers to UU the others were. I used the Bliss Vanilla & Bergamot pre-shower yesterday and it was lovely. (It was in a heavily reduced Christmas set - however lovely it may be it's not worth the full price ). I'm going to concentrate on using the Bliss one this month so I can get into good body scrub/moisturising habits
That is what I meant by 'probs' with the existing body scrubs! :rotfl: (I feel quite ridiculous having written all that down but I know I'm in the kind of company that might understand :rotfl::))0 -
hello everyone!
I've been a bit MIA recently but I'm def back for this month!
Willow - I'm sorry to hear about your cat
spose i better start with the UU to make the INs seem not so bad:
liz earle Cleanser mini- HG
liz earle Toner 30ml spray - HG, i'm going to refill this from the full size i have going - no point spending money on another mini!
REN shower gel - WBA, have a full size in the stash though!
sephora eyeliner - WBA, this was a really good eyeliner. i got in a set but it just won't fit in my sharpener! i had to ram it in and turn it using my teeth :rotfl: gave up with it in the end. i have plenty more in the stash.
l’occitane shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion minis. - WNBA, i didn't really like the scent and I've used better.
Magazine INs:
Benefit that gal x2 (i hunted high and low for these! when i finally found two i wasn't going to let them go):o
Benefit bad gal mini (bought due to initial lack of that gal)
Body shop eyeliners x 2 (i still have last years free set in the stash.)
Leighton denny polish (it was a pretty pink. no real excuse :rotfl:)
Jemma Kidd eyeliner (i know, i have enough but i was in a bad mood and wanted cheering up)0 -
I completely resisted the BS 2 for 2 sale. I am so happy that I didn't succumb hahaha
UU's to report today -
Estee Lauder advanced night repair eye cream - This is growing on me, it's very soothing but I just can't rationalise the price ticket.
Aveda - dry remedy moisturising conditioner - wba - I am really falling in love with this product
TBS - White musk body shower - love the smell, just not as moisturising as I would like - wba? not sure.No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries Challenge

Hi all.
Sorry to hear about your lovely cat Willowbee
UU so far:
Original source raspberry and vanilla milk shower gel 250ml- WIBA? Maybe, lovely fragrance. Shame it goes too quickly though.
Herbal essences fresh balance shampoo 400ml- WIBA? No, probably not.
Alberto balsam coconut and lychee conditioner 400ml- WIBA? Yes, i've grown to like AB shampoos and conditioners. I think the blueberry one is next to try.
Sure crystal pink deodorant 150ml- WIBA? Yup, good stuff.
Lush sugar plum fairy- WIBA? NO. Made me itch like crazy! I suspect it was perhaps too old. The last dregs were put out in the bin.
No7 Lift and illuminate night cream 10ml- WIBA? No, too heavy for my skin, finished it off on my feet/legs.
Osiris 3 in 1 face wipes- WIBA? A tad thin perhaps, they only did an ok job. Still got the other two packets to go.
INs all make-up this time!
Benefit oxygen wow liquid make up- really needed an alternative, as i'm sick of my Clinique one spluttering away, and getting on my clothes, then not being able to get the stuff off!! So far so good.
Miss sporty anti-blemish concealer stick- to try to make an attempt at hiding the ghastly spots until I can get to see the doctor.
Revlon lip butter in peach parfait- I blame the advert! and the £2 off ACM voucher- making it only £3.99.0 -
I have been very VERY bad. I really wanted three nail polishes from Nails Inc, but was a bit freaked out by the cost as the three cost £37 together. So, I went on the site and there were loads of special offers and I ended up with 16 polishes for £54! _pale_
:embarasse:shocked:
Soooo, I was freaking out about where I was going to put them and I hit on the idea of trying to get rid of 16 things before they arrive. Only when I have got rid of 16 things will I start counting my outs for this month. Anyway, today I got rid of...
Three cleansers that I found in the back of a cupboard. One was a Boots one that has gone off and there were two of the Sanctuary hot cloth cleansers. I got rid of these because I must have had them for years and I don't think they will work with my Clarasonic as they are quite thick. I also got rid of a Barry M lipgloss and a No7 lipgloss. I have never used them because I wasn't that keen on the colour (they were both freebies). I tried both on today and they are very blah. So that's only another 11 things to go before I am back to square one!0 -
well thats better than me Hermia - I bought a new horse today, where the flip am I supposed to hide that??!!
(well I havent paid for her yet, but its all agreed over the phone and we have done a virtual handshake...)Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0 -
Sorry not been on much this month, I just couldn't be bothered posting lol. I have INs and OUTs, so maybe I will do my list tomorrow.0
