Could be a sign Pickle !! :rotfl:

    I think it is! :rotfl:

I was going online to buy another BS body butter and scrub for another friend in the States and thought I might as well take advantage of the ‘buy 2 get 2 offer’ as I need a new blusher, but as it keeps crashing, I’ve thought maybe I could send my full sized S&G Righteous Butter and Flake Away instead. Only now I’m a bit gutted as I tried my mini FA in the shower and I really like it, and I’ve started a full-size Breakfast Scrub that I don’t like, and now I have to battle my way through. :( If I had done it the other way round, I could have sent the BS instead, as my friend may well have liked it, but it makes me a bad friend to send anything that I wouldn’t like for myself. :o

The advantages of sending the S&G stuff are that it cleans out my stash a bit more, and my friend is bound never to have tried these products as they don’t have them in the States (so far as I know) and while I was getting them out, I looked at my stash drawer properly for the first time in ages, and much as I have used up (and I’m really proud of how well I’ve done – I’m still going to be here for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa *inhales deeply* aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages as there is still so much to go! (Honestly, the only ins I’ve had have been presents, but there is absolutely tons to go – I SO wish I had never bought that S&G OOTW box from Boots as loads of the stuff seems to be from that.)

With regard to the RB and FA stuff, I can always buy myself some once I’ve got rid of the stash, can’t I? And much as I like the FA, it is possibly a tiny bit too scratchy, depending on how scratchy you like your body scrubs. Or am I trying just that bit too hard to convince myself?! :p

Willowbee: how rude of me….I’m very sorry about your cat. :(

And major thanks to whichever kind person advised me about how to store crystal deoderants (I think that was last month now. :o)

Also, I used up a bit of face mask to help get rid of my BS clay mask. It’s the second tube I’ve had of this in my lifetime, and the other stuff just got thrown away I had it so long (what possessed me to buy it again?!) so I am DETERMINED to use it up this time! *insert smiley of purpose*

Also, ladies, you may have noticed this post is a bit long, but I know that I am using it as an excuse to procrastinate awfully instead of doing my crucial massage homework. Please tell me off and tell me to get back to it: I NEED to get it done, yet instead of taking full advantage of an unheard-of 4 day weekend, I have managed to completely tidy my bedroom (no mean feat, I assure you!), put on a face mask (a rarity) and do a million other things I fully intend to do, but never get round to…! I have 4 (long) pieces of coursework due in less than 2 weeks (plus lots of muscles to learn) and I’ve not done a lot. Boots to behind, please!

    UU: Charlie Pink body spray.

WIBA? Probably not as it came as part of a set and I normally buy either Impulse or Natural Collection sprays for myself. Got plenty of Impulse to work through still plus one NC spray so no need for any more body sprays for a while!

After Sugar Crush Flakeaway is my fave S&G scrub and I too am not a huge fan of Breakfast Scrub. You can actually now buy S&G in the US as Sephora have started selling it. I remember seeing some when we were last there but probably at that time I was still working my way through the huge OOTW from Christmas 2010 so didn't pay it much attention.

I too still have loads of body care items to get through in stash. We may be returning to the US next August so I think I need to make an effort to get through it all before then or the cycle will start again.

I've also been posting on a forum called cruise critic trying to get tips re: our upcoming cruise. One cruise company (not the one we are travelling with) has Elemis products in its rooms. I've posted to see what brand is going to be in ours as if it's Elemis I won't take anything with me.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Well this is unprecedented - another 2 UUs in the bag:

Boots Time Delay Lip Plumper - WNBA as this was not what I was expecting it to be. This was like a Bare Minerals Buxom Lip Gloss in clear - what I wanted was some fantabulous cream that would get rid of wrinkles on my lips (or maybe that doesn't exist:rotfl:). Anyway in a totally un-MSE bit of defiance I have binned this with about 0.5cms to go as I am just fed up with it. Have moved on to a Gatineau lip cream now - much better but not as good as their old version with the pearly sheen. :(

Korres calendula soap - WNBA - love their body butters but will stick to my HG L'Occitane soaps as this didn't seem to last 5 minutes. It was also very slippery to use in the bath and I spent all my time trying to find it when it slipped out of my hands. I have fished out an ancient Kyusu soap from Boots to UU next as this was lurking at the back of the stash. This challenge is making me UU stuff that I would have left lurking otherwise which is great.

PICKLE???: Soap and Glory and the Body Shop are both available in North America and the Body Shop has websites with lots of great offers.

It must cost you a fortune to mail lotions and potions over.

Have you thought about sending things that aren't available over here? M&S stuff, Barry M, Boots 17, anyh of the little lines of stuff?

A friend of mine sent a load of Lush stuff to a friend in the USA only to find that there is no shortage of Lush stores in the US! I think Boots sell their products in Target over there too. I don't think they can get Barry M as the USA beauty gurus do seem to get quite excited if they get sent any.

one UU today so far, the eye cream from Clarins ( i think?) that was a freebee with Glamour for their birthday last year. WIB? probably not, though it was the best of the eye things that I had aquired for eyes. Not sure that they do much?

Hello ladies, I hope you all had a restful Jubilee weekend.

I too tried to buy stuff on the Body Shop website under the 'buy 2 get 2' offer but was thwarted. A blessing in disguise I think, because I get dazzled by bargains and forget why I'm doing this challenge!

Went to 2 jubilee parties on Sunday and yesterday so feel like I've had a bit too much booze and party food. Will have to dig something therapeutic from my rapidly diminishing stash.

Speaking of which, 2 x UUs.......

Palmolive orange blossom shower cream. Gorgeous. Would totally buy again since it was only £1 (just not three at a time then forgetting about it and buying tons of other gear like in the old days!)

Lancôme juicy tubes lip gloss in violet. This was very vintage! I keep discovering aged lip glosses that I've been carting around for years. Anyway it's nice looking and astonishingly still tastes nice but the Miss Sporty lip glosses are just as nice and are like one sixth of the price or something. So probably WNBA.

I'll tell you what, being on this thread has completely cured me of S&G! Never had a serious S&G habit but I'm picking up a general sense of ennui with their products.......

This really made me laugh/smile :rotfl:

I'm in for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages as well!

Instead of panicking about my stash and how much I have to use, I'm focusing on enjoying it instead :) That is why I've opened two new things this week even though it will slow my my rate of using things up. I have to think tortoise not hare...:D

Good luck with your coursework :-)
