Thanks Wendz and hi to Hidden Identity!
He got on okay at the interview. It was a technical one, and quite tough, but he felt he did his best.
He hasn't heard anything yet and I am hoping no news is good news.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Have you heard anything back from the interview CMD?
Hi Dinah. Yes, I meant to update. OH got the job but there are a few things that need to be ironed out (it's just the shifty job sector he works in!). I still won't celebrate until he has the contract in his hands, but its odds on that he will be home for Xmas
They have offered him a good wage which would enable us to save for a deposit on a house and the job I did during the summer have offered me 8 hours a week until Xmas and 16 hours after that. I will probably need to get the kiddies minded 1 day a week after Xmas but I don't mind leaving them for 1 day as Evie will be 16 months by then and Max nearly 3. We will also use the money I earn to save towards a deposit. OH has his eye on more expensive houses but I am steering him towards a more affordable mortgage, as I want us to be in a position to overpay when we do get a mortgage.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

In other news, we had a great holiday on the Lisbon Coast and I am off to New York next week. I have never been before but the plan is:
Thursday - arrive at 1.30pm. Settle in and go on a hop on hop off sightseeing bus
Friday - shop in Woodbury Commons
Saturday - go on the Sex & The City tour. Cocktails and dinner
Sunday - Go to Central Park, go see Empire State Building/art gallery. Go to a show
Monday - maybe see another sight. Go to Macy's/Bloomingdales.
Does this itinerary sound okay? Am I missing out on anything?
Evie is starting to pull herself up on the couch and is now waving and saying hello, bye, cake, thanks.
I have also started my Xmas shopping and have ordered Evie

and the doll to match. That is her main present.
I am getting Max:

But am going to wait and see if it comes down in price first. He is still car obsessed so I reckon he will love it. I also got him a Thomas trike. He is so easy to buy presents for!
I have also gotten most of my other Xmas present and have started to wrap some too. I love wrapping.
Trying to be very organised this year so we aren't broke by mid Jan!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Wow, CMD, it's all sounding very good at the moment
Really hope that OH does make it home in time for Xmas
Exciting to be off to New York too :j For going for the first time that itinerary sounds good. The only thing I would give a miss is the Woodbury Commons shopping. We went the time that I won a competition for a trip to New York and they laid on transport to get there. The bargains weren't any better than can be found all over NY and it takes up a lot of time going there and back that I thought could have been better spent seeing other stuff.
You need to go with what suits you though, I get bored shopping very quickly and I know not everyone does!

Oh and have you already booked the show? Can be a nightmare doing it once you are there unless you don't mind queueing for several hours.Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0
